Can anybody tell me whether for not they will show the Bleach movies? I know Bleach (the anime series) has ended for Toonami and elsewhere, but I remember watching the first and second movie on Toonami back in the day. What I am getting at is does Cartoon Network have any interest in showing the Bleach movies? I really liked the one where they go to Hell and back, but since they don't even show BLeach the series anymore I am guessing we won't be seeing any Bleach movies in the future. Kinda makes me sad because I put Bleach where I put Cowboy Bebop -- veteran Adult Swim/Toonami animes who have been around for a long time, but now forgotten. Speaking of movies, will they show movies again? C'mon now.

They showed the first two Bleach movies (Memories of Nobody and Diamonddust Rebellion) but it was a long time ago. 2009-ish I wanna say. They have never talked about airing the remaining two (or even re-airing the first two) since then.

I'd be down for movies again here and there. If I were running things I would shape it so that the ends of seasons more or less overlap one another, and then have a movie night or two before the next series starts. They won't overlap perfectly, but you can do 1-3 shows and a movie pretty easily. They'd have to be good movies, of course, but there's no shortage of those. Expelled from Paradise is a good recent release, anything from Ghibli is a safe bet, there's the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, there's the relatively recent Trigun movie... basically, there are a lot of good anime movies and OVAs made every year, and it's a shame for Toonami not to capitalize on that. I still have fond memories of watching the Read or Die movie on adult swim, and the Hellsing Ultimate OVAs were good fun. In any case, I'm sure there will be more movies and OVA's down the line, I just would prefer they be a more common feature.

Ah, yeah I figured Ghibli would be out of their price range, though I'm sure they've aired them in the distant past when they had a better budget and they were almost certainly less expensive to air. I didn't know they'd already aired that stuff (Badlands ad the rest), though it makes sense. At any rate there's plenty of good options that I hope they avail themselves of.

If so, can we finally make a non-Toonami version of the thread where it's just the live-action and comedy stuff of [as] instead in TVIV?
