Hillary Clinton is neo-liberal as hell and on part with European Conservatives. Bernie Sanders is the closest you lot will have to an actual leftist.

Under the vegetable posted:Like I said, If I voted for the next potential candidate who I most agree with, Jill Stein, it would accomplish the same thing as voting Republican, so I might as well be honest about the endgame. I still vote as left as possible in all local elections, which is kind of what really matters. I can only hope all of you also vote in local elections and midterms if you actually care as much about the future of the country as you let on. Then why the gently caress vote for the Republican? I used to think the same way, that voting left in the local elections is what matters so it doesn't matter who you pick upticket, so I voted Green at the top. But the only time I'd even think of doing that again is if there's no chance a Democrat will win (i.e. this last gubernatorial race in Ohio). Unless you're a single-issue voter like Enigma who appears only to care about foreign policy (and thus you actually care about the rest of your fellow Americans), then giving the contest to the GOP, even indirectly, is just the worst thing you can do. Accelerationism is already in effect on some places if you think about it, and it en't looking like things are getting better. Edit: all that said, I'm honestly not even sure we'd be better off with Sanders in the Oval Office, wouldn't he be more effective if he remained a Senator? root beer fucked around with this message at 00:53 on May 4, 2015 |

And Thomas loving Friedman is a progressive now? I'm beginning to think the crack hypothesis is worryingly likely.

The important part is that as many progressives are voting as possible, really.
