Couldn't have put it better myself. The plus side is that sans SUAS, we're no longer making GBS threads up the kb with carrier losses every day (unless you count me, but I don't count).

The plus side is that SV is a great little respite from people burned out on strategic stuff, so thanks for letting this little group exist!

Vyst you do realize blwarf and the sky team gives us tasks all the time like clear out fountain core or deploy to help allies right? We used to go to tribute/venal whenever asked to hit towers or do leg work when people were trying to gently caress with our stuff during alliance deployments.

The whole sv is useless and does there own thing meme hasnt applied in atleast 2 years.

Most of SV were on deployment both to Provi then to Fountain; some peeled off to Synd during the move to Sahkt but it is only now that they are starting to roam Syndicate again.

SV as a whole takes a break when war is going on. (At least there's a thing in the MOTD :v:). Most people do a good job of participating, but there's those few faithful that hold down FD- for the future victorious return to the motherland. #vfkBy2016

I guess for me, on a personal level, I feel like a group that makes it a point to be "the cool high school kids out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes in leather jackets" rubs me the wrong way. You're either with us, or you're not. I feel like SV, and subsequently HoleSquad have always been this "supplemental" group to GoonFleet rather than something complimentary to it.

I have nothing against the players. Y'all are cool with me as far as that goes. I do draw an issue with their concept and implementation. HoleSquad kind of gets a pass because CCP's role system is retarded in that regard though.

Holesquad has been in its current iteration for what, 8 months now? And we still can't even get fcon or bastion to set us blue which makes it pretty tough to participate in anything. We're still getting killed by blues that we aren't shooting at. We have holes to various nullsec all the time and the only people who have ever asked us to come participate in things have been SV/groon and those times have been hilarious and successful. We're still GSF, we'd all be happy to come shoot men and be "complimentary" to mainfleet, but for one thing we need to be set blue to everyone and for another thing you need to ask so we know what you want.

And getting reimbursed for dying at mainfleet poo poo wouldnt hurt either but since we don't really use the same doctrines that's kind of whatever

As for flying out to colbalt edge yes totally id go in a heartbeat if there was a reason to be there.

I mean thats fair I guess but we have never said that we are elite or different, most people bounce back between dek and syndicate. We are not the cool kids we just like living closer to the content we deployed with the rest of the alliance every time to curse and just did our own fleets when nothing was going on. Hell we have open recruitment and drown newbies in ships/skill books/wherever mentors leaves off. I dont think we do more than other groups or anything like that just trying to have that smaller scale option open to people.

The issue with topgoon is the current USTZ leadership consists of Kincaid (Never logs in to do stuff with topgoon), Chickenwing (Never logs in to do stuff with topgoon), Guuldan (Probably dead), and that guy who thought pipeclogging meant hotdropping on gates next to enemy staging systems (I.e. he dumb). This leaves you with Soth as the only active leader, he's in EU TZ, and he thinks the Cynabal is on par with or better than the Orthrus/Gila (So basically another idiot). Just nix the squad already or merge it with SV and be done with it, provided you get along with Koshka (He's easy to get along with) and don't let Johnny Rah in, it should be a smashing success.

Holesquad is underutilized. I know you guys like having wormholes to move, and if you asked you could probably get a half dozen guys with scanning skills near maxed out flying blinged covops to find viable chains. Scouts that actually understand wormholes and know how to check for activity and how to set up lookouts along the chain while caps are going through. Holesquad also tends to enjoy roaming with the rest of the fleet as long as nobody is going to shoot at us. Hell, if I knew everyone would have me as blue I wouldn't mind flying a Gila down to help Reavers, even if there's no reimbursement.
