Yeah, he did a fantastic job selling it, and you can see his "drop" was very controlled and deliberate. He always had a very safe way out by dropping his legs; the angle was chosen specifically to increase drama. Simple poo poo like that really works better than people realize.

I love knowing how tricks are performed because it let's me rate the performance more on showmanship; I love a good show more than I care about the trick.
