About 3/4 of the screen doesn't seem to do anything at all, for both taps and scrolls. Same OS on my Xperia Ion, same bug. I also can't go into any subforums because it always thinks I'm on the bookmarks page when tapping the screen. Old version would be great until things get sorted out.

New update is slick. Thanks for letting us disable FABs as having that post icon there was annoying. In thread view the option to disable multiple line post doesn't seem to work, they are still multiple lines when I turn it off. Also is there any way to hide the information like number of pages and last poster? I generally don't care about that and just like having a nice clean list of threads. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the new update! This app has always been my most used app by far.

The new version works fine on my n5 and the theme looks really good. It is pretty weird that the last poster in a thread is listed above the thread title and in a bigger font, though. I don't really give a poo poo who posted in a thread last, like ever.

Just popping in to say the new version looks beautiful on my Moto X (gen 1), and thank you for adding the BYOB stylesheet Do you ever plan to allow posting new threads? I know in most of the grey forums, you probably wouldn't want to write a new OP on a phone, but in byob and fyad and probably gbs, new threads can come and go very quickly. Also I've heard iphone users can post a new thread from their app That being said I appreciate the hell out of the awful app and I'm not gonna whine if one feature is missing.

I can't say I know what the "best" setting for the button would be in Awful, but the current one seems to obscure more of the screen than it needs to, more often than it needs to, and I don't see any obvious reason why it needs to do this. Weird thing I just noticed that probably isn't a problem but I'll mention it in case it is: I was on the last page of a thread with two posts on the page, they were long enough that I had to scroll down but it was a very short distance. Anyway from the top of the page I flicked to scroll down and the refresh spinning icon flew from the top down to the bottom over the thread. I could get it to fly up and down by flicking to scroll, not every time but enough that it was amusing. Can't get a screen cap obviously. Haven't tried to replicate yet. Android version 5.0 on a galaxy note 3.

baka kaba posted:You mean like a single ellipsized line? I would prefer the thread title get cut off rather than wrap to the next line. Obviously, I am not saying it should be the default, only it would be nice if it was an option like it used to be. I browse from bookmarks on my phone 99% of the time and I already know what thread it is by the first 40 characters or whatever. I think there are quite a few people who do the same thing. And yeah, like Sereri said earlier in the thread an option to remove the number of pages and the last poster would be cool, because I don't think most people care about that sort of thing. Just an option, not the default. Both options would make browsing bookmarks easier. Thanks baka kaba. I am sure Sereri appreciates the help. And we all appreciate the new shininess.

Didn't really notice the Google FABs being closer to the bottom right corner. Either they're not sticking to their guidelines or there is some weirdness going on with the view layout. As for the padding at the bottom, it's part of the fixed code of the webview and is only changed when the webview is created. I'll see if I can move the spacing to the rest of the posts so it would at least change when the page is refreshed or changed. Sereri fucked around with this message at 15:52 on May 28, 2015 |

4.0.4 here; longer load times than I ever got with the old app, options that don't want to save (disabling the fab button specifically) until I go through the menu at least 3 times, what seems to be an invisible box about the size of the left side pullout that stops all interaction on the screen forcing me to scroll with an area about the width of the new post numbers, moving from bookmarks to the side tab to a forum displaying and scrolling the forum but clicking pulls the entry in that position from the bookmark list which means forum browsing is basically impossible, and probably more I could find if I could bring myself to keep using the new version. Seriously, I work in software and know how big of a deal a complete refactoring is which it seems to be is the case here, but the new app is completely UNUSABLE on an older phone. If you're not going to share the apk here, then at least put it up in the store as Awful: Whiner's Version or some poo poo. The whole reason I stuck with Android over WP8.1 was because WP's Awful app completely sucks compared to the Andorid version (mainly due to not being able to go to the latest unread post) and the lack of Pebble support. I don't want to feel like it was the wrong decision vvv: Fine, hyperbole since I'm sure there are similarly-aged phones that don't have issues, but mine isn't one of them. 3.2.0.3 is going out It should fix the bug where people couldn't scroll and clicking on forum actually tapped on the bookmarks view below. This seems to be a bug with the page transformation library that probably came on board when I updated the libraries close to launch. Until I can find a version that works, I have disabled it on devices with 4.0 and 4.1. If you can't wait, you can install this Awful.apk manually. The update also adds secondary thread tags for A/T and SA-Mart . Thanks baka-kaba
