I think Ashley was on the board in name only. He had practically no input, football wise. It'll be awkward McClaren being on the board if he's poo poo, but it's better than the lovely no-manager set up we have where they have little input on transfers. He should have a better say than Pardew or Carver had. We're supposedly close to getting Van Ginkel on a years loan.
