Which thread was that? I must be blind. Everyone first reaction when they see him is "man that's a big cat!" but it's all muscle, dude is large and in charge. It's been a few years back and I could be slippin, but it was definitely at least a 27". I had a 20" for a long time so I can confidently say it was way bigger than that. It's a wide rear end coffee table too. I could always go hog wild when I get home and measure those picture/dvds/candle/etc so I could get some good scale and figure out how big it was based on that picture or maybe I'm crazy who knows. One final cat picture for now. Spice enjoying the box my new hedge trimmers came in: It was a sad day when that thing died though. One day it just turned to Predator (without the mask) vision and was redder than red. It was all good though, because when it died it finally gave me a justifable excuse to get a plasma for the living room too. No regrets! (I've got a 25" Sanyo in the game room and a 13" Trinitron in guest room now) Oh oh and quick story about Spice. Originally he and his sister were dropped off at the shelter at around 6 months of age. One was really nice and one was really mean, so they named them Sugar and Spice. Sugar was adopted instantly, Spice sat there for over a year. We started volunteering there one summer (before we had a cat, to get our animal fix) and this one cat just kept following the wife and I around loving us to death. This lead to that, and Spice became ours. I've had several great cats over my 31 years but this cat just owns. He's the only cat I've ever had that obeys voice commmands pretty much all the time. My first orange catte too! VVVV And seriously, people online sperg about Genesis audio all the time, but if you actually have them setup side by side and listen to I think most versions are very tolerable, just a little different from each other. YMMV but try to listen to what you can on youtube or what not beforehand to decide for yourself. Tyson Tomko fucked around with this message at 16:24 on Jun 18, 2015 |

There's not really any way to see what encoder you have without just opening the console or hooking it up though.

I still wonder what the legal situation was in not having to tear that out of DK64 on the Wii U Virtual Console. My only mild disappointment with the collection–and it is very mild–is the lack of a handful of games like Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Monster Max, and Conker's Pocket Tales, but the reasons for their absence are obvious.

I was just reading the Goldeneye issue of Nintendo Power which also featured part 3 of the Blast Corps comic so wonderful timing! Now all I need is an xbone. That video makes model 2s sound way worse than I think they do but who knows everyone is different. I still use my X'Eye for most Genesis gaming so maybe that's why who knows (that thing has incredible sound) I also think the game you play makes a huge difference. Some really Genesis guitar-ish audio is way more noticeable than other sounds/music. Anyways though there are so many model 2s out there for mega cheap give them a good home (in addition to a model 1 of course) This video is also pretty good, and it shows a caption at the bottom of which model/type of Genesis it is at all times making it easy to compare https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-KsaGBUVz4 (using Sonic music) Tyson Tomko fucked around with this message at 17:07 on Jun 18, 2015 |

There was to be a full HD rerelease of Goldeneye from N64 on the Xbox 360, just like the Perfect Dark rerelease. Rare and Microsoft had gotten licensing signoffs from the James Bond people and whichever company held the console James Bond license at the time (I think it was EA) and the only barrier standing in the way was Nintendo who just needed to agree due to their part-ownership. Nintendo refused, even though the release of the game would have brought them royalty payments for no investment from them. Total dicks.

So this is kind of a first-world-problems question, but I'll ask anyway: is there a particular reason Mega Man Legacy Collection won't have shoulder-button weapon-switching? I can only assume it's to make the games play exactly like they did on the NES, which lacked shoulder buttons in the first place, but the feature was a pretty big QoL improvement for some of my friends when it was added into later games and ports, and they're not exactly thrilled.
