Yeah, you need to finish ARR story to get new classes, you only need to talk to 2 people in HVWRD main story to get to them though.

Always do your low level roulette daily first if not already completed. Levequests current benefit from rest XP, but do not consume it. You heard me right. This makes levequests ludicrous in the level ranges they're available. FATEs suck and are terrible XP/hour due to boss HP scaling and the massive zergfests going on right now.

30-35: Go to Camp Tranquil in South Shroud. Get the Adamantoise Tears leve. Max level difficulty, just run and pick up the tears while ignoring all enemies. They attack slow, so even with 2 on you, you can pick the items up off the ground. If Adamantoise Tears isn't available, do Black Market Down on lowest difficulty to bring it back.

35-40: Do Qarn at level 35 until 36/Cutter's Cry at 38 until 39 (chain XP puts them on top over leves). Otherwise, Go to the Observatorium in Coerthas. Run Cower to the People, just like Adamantoise Tears. If it's not up, Have a Nice Trip and Now We're Even are nice alternatives. Alternatively you can chain run whatever your latest dungeon is; they give a little less XP/hour than leves.

40-44: lovely levels. Cutter's Cry at 40 and Stone Vigil from 41-44 are the fastest XP/hour available to you. If you have an amazing HQ gear set and can handle +5 mobs, go to St Conch and do leves there (see below). If you have slow queues, sorry; your best bet is to find a Coerthas FATE group in party finder and join the zerg while you're in queue.

44-50: Find or build a DD speedclear group. Coast to 50 on 800,000+ xp/hour. If you're a lone wolf and rue the concept of playing with others in an MMO, you can go to St Conch in Mor Dhona. Grab all of the leves except the Naturalist. Speeding through those will give about 600k xp/hour if you have rest XP available, a little more or less depending on your efficiency.

Leve tips: Is the leve telling you to kill a mob for an item to use on other mobs to dispell their illusion BS? If you hit a mob, their illusion is dispelled anyways, so just run around tapping all the mobs once, run out of range, then run back in and kill your leve targets. Picking stuff up off the ground? Ignore all enemies, acquire tears.

Are there plans to have the relic quest continue into the expansion, or is it an entirely moot point now? Seems kind of sad for all that work to completely go by the wayside, especially with the emphasis that had on it being your one weapon that grew up alongside you.

Thanks for the advice, though, now I know what to focus on.

I was also reading, apparently 2.4 story quests are straight up dropping the i110 soldiery (?) gear as quest rewards. Looks like I picked the perfect place to stop :getin:

Costa is nice, but Adamantoise Tears is probably the best leve in the game for xp/hour, so there's not much reason to do anything other than that in that level range. The leve is right next to the Levemete, you can finish it in under a minute, and it comes back instantly most of the time (and there's an easy 100% reset for it if not).

20-30 you can stick around South Shroud/Quarrymill, fish for No Leaves Left Behind in the 20-25 range and Up the Creek in the 25-30 range. Other leves there are fine too, just ignore any escorts. Always run equal level dungeons for chain bonuses.

I'm assuming they'll fix it eventually, but it's been like this for a while now.

"You're gunna break it!"

This is your quick guide to contributing to Free Company Crafting and how it basically works.

What is the Workshop?

The workshop currently has three things it can make: Airship parts, Aetherial wheels for rank 3 company actions and house Glamours so we can turn the house into an item, armor or weapon shop look if we wish. Airships are required for the airship venture system which allows you to create more advanced ships and other rarer commodities, plans and supplies for the workshop. Airships parts degrade over time and so will always require the workshop to be doing something. Welcome to the ultimate crafting orboros which will help keep even lower level materials useful, forever.

I am a useless baby crafter with no artisan gear or anything, I wish I could help but...

Fear not! The workshop makes use of components from the 20's crafters and onward which means that gathering classes of similar level also can provide useful materials. Importantly, it doesn't matter what kind of DoHand you are as long as you have a pulse, you can help just by being in the Workshop Progression Party.

I can't solo this?

No, in order for each stage to advance you need at least a Light Party of Disciple of the Hand, the party leader can then advance the project as long as they have permission. Our FC allows anyone to advance it because there's no real harm in it.

Where is the Workshop?

The Workshop is in the private chambers door, it's the new option for all your important crafting needs

How do I contribute?

Every time we build an item it has a phase, there can be up to 8 phases for a crafted component, all you have to do is walk up to the main panel and add items from your inventory into the Orb God.

How do we make a thing?

Someone with appropriate permission in the free company can designate the next project, the amount of phases and what each phase requires material wise are laid out in this window, use this for planning.

What are these panels in here?

This is the airship management panel, this will be covered elsewhere as it can get complicated, the short answer is, FC wide Airships go on missions like retainers.

This is the board for learning new things like researching how to make your house glamoured to look like a restaurant. Progress on this board requires materials collected from airships explorations and ventures.

This is the Orb God where all items go to live and die

What is Fabrication Condition?

Fabrication condition is what the last phase ended up doing, if it is excellent condition as improved by the construction quality trait, this phase could have items already contributed to it without any user input, as noted in the screen above, each category of item had 1/3rd of their items already added, reducing the amount of total items needed to complete this phase.

What is Construction Quality?

Construction quality is affected by the quality of items contributed to the project, though unconfirmed for sure it doesn't seem to matter on the last phase, because you're not going to "HQ" the component, it can only improve the next phase and make less items be potentially needed.

Please Be Careful when Crafting as a Team!

Square had data that people weren't doing guildhests, like people got to level 50 without even realizing guildhests existed in the game, so they forced people to interact with the system to continue the main quest.

The patch quests really suck to marathon, but the later ones do get better, especially the pre-Heavensward ones.

From the little bit of DRK I've gotten through, they can lay out a surprising amount of damage if they line everything up right, so even if mch is pretty much right in line with all the dps like it feels like, DRK tanks would make it go quite a bit faster.

Also, cross classing all the good stuff and popping every cooldown as a MCH is something not enough people I've seen are doing, it's really funny to just completely roid out with blood, hawkeye, all the MCH cooldowns, ammo, and raging strikes and just go to town with aoe.

Like I said, its really just poor timing on my behalf. New expansion + Steam sale + weekend in a game that has been drawing in a lot of hype and attention away from the stagnating beast that is WoW. Im only going to have a few days left on my free month the next time I get some free time but it should be more than enough to see if I enjoy the game.

The character creation is top notch at least. I made one of those fat midget things and by the end it looked like he could be a member of Motorhead and that basically sold me anyway. :v:

Did my first dungeon run with Bishop Turret and it's pretty awesome. I wish the TP/MP promotions on Rook and Bishop were swapped, though.

I'm one level away from Gauss Rifle. Just from looking at the ability, unless the charge times are really short and SE tones down the positional AoEs compared to the last raid tier, it's mostly going to be a solo tool or for trash AoE. Not that I'm complaining about more of either of those with how lackluster Grenado Shot is.
