I'm more surprised Obama's in a podcast. Maybe once he finished his term* he could sit down with Carter plus Clinton and just chat then make that a podcast. *assuming the dictator didn't get a third term

Speaking of which, Imgur has gone from thinly veiled racism to straight-up racism:A Racist posted:Ok hear me out. In my city, we have an abundance of movie theaters to choose from. The one closest to my house is the only one with IMAX 3D experience. It is almost all black people that attend this specific theater because of the area it's in. Normally my wife and I will drive 30 to 45 minutes to a nicer theater to avoid the problems we've had there in the past. This past Friday we decided to see Jurassic World but wanted to see it in IMAX 3d. So we have reluctantly went to this theater hoping things would be better. It was not. I just do not understand the need to talk through the entire movie. What is the deal with this? Why do you feel entitled to shout things in every quiet moment when an actor/actress isn't speaking? I don't need a play by play of what's going on. And most definitely I do not need to hear, "That n**** straight up ate that bitch." Or the word "n****" or any form of it said every third word that comes out of your mouth. Do you also not see all of the warnings about no cell phones too? Why do you need to be on your cell phone checking Facebook during a movie? You can't even turn down the screen brightness or try and shield it from others around you? This is not just a one time thing or an instant outburst. I've been paying attention to this for years now. Even when we go out to the predominantly white theater, there will be a play by play black guy letting us know what just happened. Why? Why? Why do you do this? Do you think the rules and common courtesy do not apply to you? We've decided to not go back there any longer. It completely ruined the movie for us. I even know the managers at that theater and asked them why they don't do "show checks" for that type of behavior? They're simple reply is "That's their main customer in that area and they can't fight it any longer because of the race card being played every time they try to stop it." It's absurd and ridiculous. How is this even enjoyable for anyone of any color? This is long enough. There was even another incident that occurred before the movie start in but that's for a different day. TL/DR: Racist whitey upset that blacks talk/check phone during movies and ruins my precious movie going experience.

Coffee And Pie posted:Speaking of which, Imgur has gone from thinly veiled racism to straight-up racism: Imgur has been straight up racist for a while now, but it flares up whenever something really racist happens. Right now it's not that bad though, partially because they're too busy circle jerking over the soft core porn they're now allowed to post and using it as a way to subtly make fun of feminists. http://imgur.com/gallery/hi6fQ "Stop with the race mongering" Apparently talking about a crime of racism and mentioning that racism exists is "race mongering." There's something fundamentally flawed with the Imgur post rating system. If you downvote a post enough it gets classified as a "bad post" and automatically hidden from view. Very obviously racist/sexist behavior gets swept under the rug while more subtly racist/sexist behavior often gets upvoted to heaven. I would bet money that the people downvoting the obviously racist out of sight are the very same people upvoting subtly racist posts to the top of the page. Not to distract from Obama saying the n-word chat, but let's move on to a great subject - VACCINES! Shared by my former HS classmate, "lionness mom", staunch pro-lifer and anti-vaxxer. Your Child is Vaccine Injured: quote:If you wait until your child is born to think about vaccines, a vaccine injury is almost impossible to recognize. You are too tired and overwhelmed when it strikes. You are too immersed in the trees to see the forest. Too busy putting band-aids on symptoms to see the syndrome. You might be told that you have a sensitive, high-needs baby on your hands and his sensitivities manifest as colic, reflux, head-banging, food allergies, or contact rashes. You will be told that it is all normal, which is the truth, considering what passes for normal these days. Now I see these signs in other infants and I try to intervene. I try to warn the parents that these sensitivities mean so much more than their doctor tells them. I know that these parents are too down in it to see for themselves. woman thinks that because she gave her kid a Hep B vaccine (which she claims she's never heard of Hep B, what the hell), and now thinks it's the cause of all of her child's allergies, and never should have vaccinated for a disease that's only for "sexually active adults." Some quick research shows that 30% of Hep B cases are young kids from a variety of things. I think most parents are unable to accept that having kids is a big genetic roll of the dice. Chances are your kid will be fine, but sometimes you'll have a kid that's going to have terrible allergies or some other genetic disease that just blows.

People's science illiteracy is pretty terrible. It spawns all sorts of bogus poo poo, whether it beclaims to the health benefits of a certain diet, food, or herbal remedy, down to stupid poo poo like anti-vaxx sentiment. Not only is genetics one giant dice roll, but chemistry in general is monumentally complex. I'm not trained in the sciences, but I know enough to know I don't know anything, if that makes sense.

Shared by my former HS classmate, "lionness mom", staunch pro-lifer and anti-vaxxer. Autism runs in my family so I get a kick out of the "vaccines cause autism" crowd. Before autism started getting diagnosed correctly, you were either eccentric, gifted, a loner (Asperger's syndrome), or you were mentally retarded or maybe insane (low-functioning autism). Autism existed, they just didn't know what it was. My grandmother's aunt Elizabeth spent most of her life in an institution, and looking back my family thinks Liz was probably autistic, not retarded. I know several middle-aged adults who were only recently diagnosed with Asperger's. I wonder what anti-vaxxers are going to do when their kids turn out to be autistic anyway.

If you got in over your head, we unfortunately live in a society that doesn't provide adequate resources for the disabled, especially neurodivergent children who are still often categorized by a large portion of society as weirdoes that have to earn their right to exist in an allistic world.

They really don't care about the child as much as they do their marriage/duty to go God/progeny (in the homophobic/transphobic sense where they can't continue the family line in their eyes). Honestly, it's okay to prioritize your spouse over your kids. In fact, many marriages with kids that fail is because they focus on the kid and not one another. The bigger issue is that she feels so sad to have to resort to life-saving (or enhancing) drugs for her kids because BIG PHARMA or something. Anti-vaxxers usually care about their kids, it's just that their mind is completely misguided on what caring for them entails.
