Well he was linked with City first, then United, then Liverpool. At this rate Newcastle may have a shot just before the season starts.

All reports suggests that Cech didn't want to leave London, so him joining Arsenal is not really a sign that LvG is content with Valdes (he probably is though, which kind of scares me).

I've never heard of Firmino but I bet he scores a million goals and dunks over Mourinho to win the superbowl.

Firmino is going to score 13 goals and be a passable signing for Liverpool in view of their recent record. They have bigger problems elsewhere on the pitch imo.

We don't have a right back and we'll need another striker in case Sturridge dies again but other than that I'm pretty happy with the squad.

He'll be on considerably less wages.

To be fair to Liverpool we did try and sign Sanchez. He just wanted to go to London :(

I have to say, I'm really glad we're getting these deals done early.

If we can pick up Clyne (or another right back) and a quality striker I'll be well chuffed. Should be money to spend too given Sterling is most likely off for at least forty million and we have a tonne of players that aren't needed that will probably fetch a bit.

I'm booming lads.

That's wrong. He wanted to play with Giroud, he said so specifically.

Isn't Firmino basically just a Coutinho that scores a few more goals? He's not really a striker from what I've seen.

Yeah he's an attacking midfielder. I'm guessing the plan is to play him and Coutinho behind a striker with Milner, Henderson and Can behind them.

I'm getting close to some code tags up in here.
