Quick question: is there any way to buy eshop games without having a 3ds? Like, can I buy the Sega 3D classics on sale now and then just put codes in when I get my 3DS (it's probably not going to get here until after the sale)?

You can buy digital codes for some games through Nintendo's website, but it doesn't look like the Sega 3D classics are among them.

I've seen red, black, Monster Hunter, and Majora's Mask editions. You'll probably end up getting the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer New XL, at the very least.

Only one big release this week: Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 for NA, which is eShop-exclusive and launches with $150+ in DLC. After that, it's a whole lotta nothing until August because Nintendo hates July for some reason. PAL-land is getting the Attack on Titan game on the eShop this week (Shingeki no Kyojin), as well as a standalone release for Mighty Gunvolt and some other stuff. No word on what NA's getting just yet. Current eShop sales include various Atlus titles as well as the first wave of Sega 3D Classics (NA-only). The sad thing about Nintendo Club rewards, is that I own almost full 3DS title (Not including download only). My choices are either Super Paper Mario Sticker Star or New Super Mario Bros 2. I am leading on Super Paper Mario Sticker Star.... I know not many people like it, but I think it is ok as long the humor is still there and it makes me smile.

Sega just announced 7th Dragon 3 for 3DS; it'll be out in Japan on October 17: http://dragon3.sega.jp/ These games were traditionally co-developed by imageepoch, so I wonder what's going on with this one.

Still a slightly better choice then NSMB2 imo so go for it.

Treat Sticker Star like a puzzle adventure game with inventory items rather than a JRPG. Avoid combat unless you have no choice. I know that sounds bad but it's just the optimal way to play the game and enjoy it. I will say that when you get Things, it is fun to try them out in combat and see all their little animations that play. Almost like uh.. Lil Inferno. But combat in the game serves no function whatsoever. Also the music is GREAT. Even the boss fights in the game come down to using the right inventory item. Also make sure to check nooks and crannies because there are max-HP increase items littered throughout the game.

They're hoping someone is going to be insane enough to buy a WiiU for a NES game.

Amazingly enough you can buy a 3DS nearly anywhere, and you can even have it delivered to your home. And then you can use the 3DS to buy and play whatever games you want.

^^^^ Well, duh. Mine won't be here until the sale is over and I'm trying to lock in a sweet $15 discount (which I'd just end up spending on more games) They already begrudgingly have my love If we had a legit online account system this problem wouldn't exist. We seriously need some quality of life improvements here. Overemotional Robot fucked around with this message at 14:45 on Jun 30, 2015 |
