What people write down for their favorite music and books doesn't mean poo poo anyway - half the stuff they write down they've barely even skimmed or heard; they write it down because it sounds better than the truth, which is "I usually listen to whatever song comes on the radio when I'm driving, or whatever songs came preloaded on my iPod". In a shocking surprise, people try to make themselves seem interesting in a dating profile, and saying they listen to Top 40 songs 99% of the time is boring (and that you'd also criticize btw). There's really no winning here.
