That line about Trisssh looking like a little froggie followed by a black panel makes me think the principal just died for real. Hey, here's a fun idea. The last panel is a closeup of one of his eyes. I love how completely crazy Pasqualo is. I also love this hosed up comic.

tlarn posted:He doesn't have that Uncle Grandpa vibe any more. Not for nothing but Trisssh did kill her Aunt Medusa. She's billy-badass I'm sort of hoping for an anti-climatic end to this, where the creepy guy is still just a human. After the massive beatdown the hell beast gave everyone, they needed a good old fashioned curb stomp battle to get their groove back.

I am legit on the edge of my seat to see how the next panel turns out. I honestly don't know how it will and there's a lot riding on it. The principal makes me think that he could totally take out half the cast if he wanted to.

It does seem very possible that he's dead. Not sure if the blood is pouring out of his left eye or if it's from Trisssh's hand, but she was definitely reaching for his face. The sense of finality with the talk further cements it. Next scene will probably be clean up.

Really the only way I can see this comic ending is that after taking over enough land to become a crazy post-apocalyptic dictator Pasq and pals all get killed by a traveling band of plucky adventurers who were the actual heroes of the story the entire time. Then the comic ends in Hell as Pasq and pals decide to take it over.

Now pair this with the "chattering teeth laugh" when they approached Joker's dead body in 1989 Batman. Now go to bed.

Yeah, I think Trisssh secured the kill there - he's bleeding and the colours are draining from him, while she's just getting more into her freaky, intimidating game-face. Visual language sure seems to say one of them has the upper hand here.

I'm scared. I legitimately care about a lizard girl who wants to lay eggs in the protagonist's head in a comic about eighth graders surviving the apocalypse they caused. That's good poo poo Gob. I mean that, it's hard to do that with the most serious of stories, you've really done something quite special here.

Visual language says one of them has the upper hand, but actual language suggests the opposite.

Does anyone notice that squiggly mark on the side/back of the principal's neck that is partially obscured? It looks kind of like Pasq's cyborg circuits... e: and on second glance the principal appears to have a slight green aura around him and his hat...
