Whoa, those other shots look fantastic. I played the RTS games to death but Wow never grabbed me. Is that Orc all makeup or good cg or both?

A pity it'll go the way of the Cooties poster and be buried/forgotten within a month of the movie's release.

Disconnect between atmosphere/style of poster and likely atmosphere/style of the movie perhaps? When ever their is an obvious disconnect between the advertising and the movie in atmosphere or style for me it usually seems to make the marketing a lot less effective as I know the type of positive expectation invoked by the advertising are not likely to be meet by the final product. Like if you did a really nice looking poster in style of incredibly detailed Victorian era illustrations to advertise the new fast and the furious movie. The Poster might looking amazing, and the movie might be pretty good as well, but just because the illustration has the words Fast and Furious on it, and is good in its own right, doesn't mean looking at it will get you in the mood for watching a fast past, car based, action fest.

Bought these off ebay from a seller that had a bunch of cool B-movie/exploitation posters for decent prices (all of these were $9.99 buy it now purchases). They're all movies I've never heard of, but the visuals on the posters are great, plus they're all in pretty good shape. The Pack. 20"x60". I believe this was meant to be hung on the inside of a theater's glass door so patrons would see as they entered the building. Not sure what the C above the title means, whether it's a production company, or the initial of the theater the poster came out of, or just a lazy way of saying 'see'. Really like the minimal design on the pack of vicious, demonic dogs. These possessed pups sure as heck ain't gonna be begging for scraps at the table anymore... unless they're scraps of you! Dogs. 27"x41". A big, pissed off loving dog. That's it. While The Pack's poster may give a sense of an otherworldly group of evil dogs up to no good, this mutt's just straight up ready to kill you. Rip out your goddamn throat and piss on your corpse. Thing doesn't have any life in its eyes. Night Train to Terror. 27"x41". Somebody dropped the knife they were using to stir spaghetti sauce off the back of a speeding train. My favorite of the group, I think. It's got it all, bleeding text, a murder weapon, cloudy night, a train of damned souls scootin' off to who knows what evil. I imagine, not having seen the film, that the terror itself happens all within the confines of the train, so if that knife is that bloody outside the choo-choo, you can just imagine what awful bullshit is going on inside. Somebody call their agent! Edit: The two standard sized posters will be easy to find frames for, but the big 20"x60" I don't think I will be able to get something for that won't cost a whole lot. I'd like to avoid tacking it up if I can. Anyone have any suggestions? Detective Thompson fucked around with this message at 22:05 on Jul 12, 2015 |

If it weren't for Matthew Vaughn's inexplicable erection for Mark Millar's swill those would never have succeeded. And Kick rear end was grounded enough to pull off on a relative budget. The Authority would require a much larger budget for modest returns at best.
