Yeah but he only sells that during a full moon. So until you can get that, use the glowsticks. They're cheap too, only 1.5 gold a stack.

It has a considerably shorter range than glowsticks though. You can also hold a glowstick without throwing it for the increased range withotu consuming it.

I accidentally turned off the buff for my light pet and I can't get it to respawn by either pulling it in and out of it's slot or putting a different light pet in. How do I get it back?

if you look closely you'll see a little icon in the corner of your equipment slot that looks like an eye. click it to make your pet/light pet visible again

Treasure lamp is cool but its usefulness ends at exactly the point where you no longer need to look for Titanium or Adamantite (and I'm something like 90% certain that fishing for crates is a much more efficient way of getting those than searching around in the underworld).

here's a Neat Trick i found: equip bat wings in one slot and a cape in the corresponding vanity slot, then hide toggle the wings. now your cape will turn into bat wings when you fly and your meta knight roleplay is one step closer to authenticity

I also wear a mythril hood with red and white dye to get some extra ~*~mystery~*~ to the outfit.

All I need is a metal detector to complete a cell phone. I've had 2 nymphs refuse to drop it and 5 more despawn before I could find them. This is awful.

I finally killed the Lunatic Cultist by flying around in a UFO shooting my Godly Scourge of the Corruptor at it. Now I want to get the Vampire Knives before I try the pillars, but farming the key in the Crimson is a huge pain.  I've set up an arena with blue candles but it's slow going.

If I were you I would kill the destroyer one or two more times and make hallowed armor, though that's worse than frost armor unless you are using the hallowed mask. If you don't want to kill him again you could just make a hallowed repeater, or just save the bars and use the souls to make a megashark.

I say Megashark, but then I like guns. Will a Battle Potion help me encounter truffle worms, or does it only affect actual enemies? (On the plus side my trufflebridge is working nicely as a chlorophyte farm)

The wiki says it affects critters, so yeah a battle potion should help. Wiki also says that the potions stack with water candles which also increase critter spawns, but I think that could easily get overwhelming.

Water candles/battle potions definitely affect critters. If you fish a lot and have a floating base you can place a water candle to get critters to spawn a lot underneath it. When it rains you can get tons of worms to turn into enchanted nightcrawlers.

When you use sonar and crate potions to fish, it's pretty easy to get a bunch of crates without wasting bait on useless catches. I got about six Master Baits in my first three minutes, and since better bait is less likely to be consumed, that total has trended up over time. Basically, once you start Master Baiting, you never stop.

What's the best material to make platforms out of with minimal effort involved in acquiring it? I need to make a monster spawn farm in the caverns because holy gently caress I can not get more nymphs to show up after 3 laughed in my face as I murdered them for no drop.

I need help with Skeletron on expert. So far I have a full Molten armor set rocketing, Deadly Molten Fury, and Deadly Space Gun. I also make a minecart track that goes back and forth to help keep my distance (though I do run into him occasionally). The main problem I am having is the projectile skull she shoots out after one or both armors have been destroyed.Finally, I'm at 200 health and I use a series of buffs and set up campfire around the tracks to increase my life regen. The problem I have with him is the projectile skulls he spews out after one of both hands are destroyed. I can't dodge them or block them off like imp's fireballs, and I get hit enough to where my rate of regen and consumption of health potions are not enough. Any pointers on killing him?

So finally got my sextant the last piece needed for the cell phone after quest like 200, turns out my fisherman guide disappeared from the chest. I had some weird crash issues when I tried moving my stuff to Steam cloud guess that must of caused it, very discouraging. I know I can cheat it in but once I open that door on games I tend to overuse it and ruin it for myself.

If you can survive in an expert world you can get a metal detector from a nymph at 100% drop rate. Even if that figure is wrong and the rate isn't 100% expert mode worlds still double the drop rate, making them better for trying to get poo poo in. My buddy and I cheated with him by building the Doctor a house nearby and used shelves and Slime Mount to jump around while one did ranged damage

Any pointers on killing him? here's yrmir's recent example battle with Skeletron expert, which has some hints that look like they can be used in general: To dodge the skulls he stages under a wood platform while using a yoyo to go around the platform. Read posted:How large is your lava pool (calculated as the area below the surface your bobber floats in)? Do you have bait with you? Thanks, this was the problem. I thought the lake's dependability was based on size in general, not depth. Inferno's not all that helpful but it looks cool.

My first attempt at expert skelly was using a long minecart track. It sucked, and I'd recommend against it. Instead, all you really need is a decently long flat surface, I just used a platform above the dungeon entrance, lined with campfires and heart lamps. My gear was meteorite armor, space gun. Most importantly, the accessories. Spectre boots, a balloon, shield of cthulhu, worm scarf, all reforged for +3 or +4 armor. The shield is the most important, it lets you reverse direction at full speed on both the ground and the air and is critical to dodging a lot of skeletron's bullshit. Throw in the usual potion buffs and you should be good to go.
