Being President will be Trumps final form. All those times he's started a project, spent the money, then declared bankruptcy... this time he can just print more money and keep moving.

FTFY. I'm with whichever chucklehead said during the debate that Trump is hedging his bets for a Clinton presidency.

Nuclearmonkee posted:i don't think he can win the general election but he could sure as gently caress win the republican primary (unlikely yes, but possible) I guess I have to remind people once again about how our election process works. First off 80 percent of the electoral votes are known quantities. You can count them right now for blue or red. The votes that matter are swing state votes, and in those states, like all the others, there's going to a lot of homers who will vote team red or team blue every time. However, there there are also a few people who will vote based on their issues or whims. This percentage of a percentage of voters are the people who will actually decide who is president. Who do you think this cadre of hick idiots are going to vote for over Trump? What candidate could possibly do better?

Can Trump win a general election? And, more importantly, if he does win, will he have the political clout to set up the conditions for the proles to revolt?

Trump is his own man, he's not bought, hes the one that does the buying So much loving THIS

Herman Cain remains my favorite right wing guy, because he seems like a real dude and he's funny as hell. Now that Cosby has been exposed as a rape monger, Cain should become America's new Black Dad. Trump should be relegated to the role of uncle who gets too fershnikit on holiday wine and shouts so hard at his mom that everyone gets together to throw him into the front yard and he spends a bunch of time sitting there in the snow calling everyone "bimbos" or something, then he tries to stumble to his Audi and your dad has to go get him and make him sleep it off in the tub.

Trump seems the least likely to drag us into another war in the middle east. Unironically. It costs too much and doesn't yield public support (Bush already milked that cow) and Trump legitimately seems like the only candidate smart enough to realize this. Because he's rich and he doesn't need to profit from war. It always comes back to his wealth. Whoever called that his trump card was right. He is simply not beholden to external financiers and that alone makes him more palatable to me over any other republican.

Rich people don't just go "Well I'm rich enough I don't need any more money". Trump's always trying to make more money. He doesn't even hide that he will drive whatever he's responsible off a cliff so he can rife through its broken remains, pocket whatever's left, and will call it a success because he personally made out.
