Magic. Those are actually the same wheels and the old tires off the jeep I posted, he put them on the F250 just to see how it'd look :v:

(Some fender clearancing would definitely be necessary if you wanted the suspension to move or do anything silly like turn the steering wheel. But he managed to fit 42" tires on a cherokee with 5" of lift so the point stands.)

I remember you posting about this guy before - some kind of minimal lift, huge tire setup, right? Is there a thread somewhere about that build?

That's 2 inches of lift (was originally 3.5" but sagged) and 37s. I'm not sure he ever put together a build thread but he had a sort of custom midarm or longarm setup, clearanced the body and fenders as necessary, bumpstopped a bit, and on they went.

Jumped it a lot, too, and wheeled harder than probably anyone else I know, with no issues. The black 2 door XJ I've posted midair before and the big blue J10 on 60s with 40" tires I've posted are his more recent projects.

That's insane to me - I'm lifted 4-4.5" on 33s, and when crawling, things barely fit.

I guess the other way to look at it is that I know we built the poo poo out of my Jeep, so I can probably be rougher on it than I am - if his survives, I'd bet good money mine would.

I just got back from roadkill nights drag races and I will just say that the hellcat powered General Mayhem is loving fast, and loving loud. I won't post spoilers of the Roadkill vs. Gas Monkey race, it's probably on YouTube if you want it. The draguar was there too but just as a show piece.

Overall a good time, there was a lot of drag racing and the winner received a hellcat engine. Only rules were street legal and had to drive there, no trailers. Second place was a cummins powered Dodge Ram that loving flew, bested only by an older mopar. I'll throw some videos up when I get a chance.

Aye, didn't hear about them not being allowed to film the gas monkey guys. Oh well, thanks youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQJ_D94HCZA (not my video)

The dart that gas monkey built was way faster than general mayhem, it was probably quite a bit lighter. If my memory serves me correct the dart ran 5.8X and general mayhem ran a 6.2X but it was very hard to hear the announcer. I was standing near the finish line right up against the fence but my phone videos are all focused on the fence

They also had Aaron driving, and not Richard Rawlings like intended. Go figure Gas Monkey would ignore the rules Freiburger and Finnegan laid out by running a way lighter car with a different driver :v:

It is what it is. Roadkill is still way cooler as far as i'm concerned.

Wasn't the initial challenge to go to a junkyard and build something to race? Slapping a hellcat motor and drivetrain in an old car isn't particularly difficult when in GMG's case they have their own mechanics and in Roadkill's case, have someone to do it for them.

I hope the Mighty Car Mods x Roadkill thing is actually a build...

I don't know anything about GMG but I assumed roadkill would get beat just because they fail a lot in their videos. Like, not in a bad way, that's what makes it real and entertaining.

Looks like GMG made a full on drag car and roadkill just hopped up a charger hellcat. I'll be happy to resume less-trash-talky facebook feeds now.

That Dart was a full on drag car, and had a powerglide, so the General Mayhem never stood a chance. Both are beastly cars and it was fun to see Roadkill just talk trash to GMG the whole time.
