Odds are it's gonna have a lot of promise and then squander that promise while remaining an above average show.

This is my gut reaction because it's pretty broadly accurate for Gundam as a franchise(with some exceptions here and there, most of them Tomino-based).

Still gonna watch it and talk about it endlessly of course.

Reconguista, dude.

The non-Bellri crew of the Megafauna didn't really contribute much until they got their upgrades from Venus Globe, did they? I mean, apart from guest stars like Klim and Mick, who did indeed wreck poo poo.

Let's see now, there was Aida, who spent most of the show being terrible at piloting, there was Kerbes, who flew a Recksnow ('nuff said), there were the Grimoire pilots, who weren't as useless as Kerbes but did spend most of the show trying not to die to their hilariously better-equipped enemies rather than actually contributing anything, there was Ringo, who had a genuinely good suit but spent most of his time mooning over Raraya, and then there was Raraya herself, an excellent pilot stuck in a worker suit armed with a welding laser.

Let's be honest, they weren't exactly a match for Celestial Being or the Nahel Argama team.

The way the backgrounds show a very thin layer of soil being carefully managed really makes me hop that they get a little in the practicalities of terraforming.

The Megafauna crew wasn't fighting a conflict anywhere near the level that Celestial Being or the Nahel Argama were. Hell, half the point of every battle was not to do too much or get too carried away.

The point is, it was a diverse crew of reasonably competent pilots, each with their own recognizable MS, and they all pulled their weight and contributed.

Because Gundam is a predictable anime for stupid babies, I'll have you know I already extrapolated the entire story of Iron Blooded Orphans from these few trailers. Granted, should the actual product not end in a Moonlight Butterfly, I guarantee you I will impotently complain about IBO being badly written schlock for homos and bitches.

I hope Barbatos picks up a big rear end LED Mirage laser cannon. It can't properly be a Nagano send up without a cannon that's twice as long as the mech itself. It's already got a big gun and a lance, so nice start, but it needs to pick up its game if it really wants to high heel into memory.

The general opinion from naysayers in here has been "It looks really cool but since it's a Gundam show it will probably fail to live up to all of that potential while still remaining above average", not "Welp I guess this is gonna be AGE Part 2 burn the animation studio to the loving ground".

It's basically guarded optimism.

To the person asking whether to watch The Origin, I'd say yes. It manages to balance drama with some more lighthearted moments, and what action it has is great. The mobile suits are CGI, but it's pretty decent cell shading and it certainly isn't as horrendous looking as say Attack on Titan's CGI.

It's soundtrack is also pretty killer.

Both proof that anything can be improved by adding Danger Zone to the background. Not that Macross Plus isn't already fantastic without it.

The weirdest one I saw was this one devoted to Corin Nander's Custom Kapool.

ah, FINALLY! I had sort of forgotten to check. Guhh, this sounds good.
Takayuki Hattori wrote the scores to Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla and Godzilla 2000, and I look forward to finding out whether he did the theme-reorchestrating thing at any point, because it's fascinating how different the main title of the first is compared to the spooky pretty cue it's written as in the latter. (and it's not like it bothers me when a composer recycles, so.) He's grown a lot with time, too.
