Retrieving Takeo's bag after it gets flung away, his little good-natured put down after Takeo lets the other guys join in on Valentines Day, he kept stealing scenes... I like how they handle his disinterest in the other girls so far and I'm pretty excited to see if the show's going explore more that before it ends. Outside of my apparent crush on a fictional character, what an exuberant and fun episode! Takeo's VA's throat must be killing him! I had to pause the show here for some uncontrollable laughter. I did some voice work on Saint Seiya as Virgo who's all about being an incarnation of the Buddha and the artists on that show had dozens upon dozens of scenes almost exactly like this, only Virgo is skinny, blonde, and pretty.

Thought this was a fairly weak episode, particularly in terms of animation and writing. Maybe the premise was just a bit too flimsy after the whopper of the birth episode - there was absolutely zero tension regarding whether or not Big Tak was going to get his chocs. I thought that Yamato's friends looked pretty off-model in a lot of frames, too. I know there have been a few episodes with variable art quality, but this was the first time I've really noticed it. Still very enjoyable overall, and I'm intrigued by Suna's admirer.
