Suuuuuuuuuure Stantis/Allie. This must be the right wing equivalent of Animal Nuz.quote:I like how Luckovich cross-hatches to direct where to look. No cross-hatching on flunky in panel one because he's front and center, then cross-hatched to all hell in the second to make Obama/Biden the center of attention.

I don't get why they think the media is trying to stop Trump. A biased media would want nothing more than that rear end in a top hat to win the presidency and hand Democrats moderate voters in a festive basket. If anything, FOX is trying to stop him since he's already pissed off establishment GOP by threatening a third party run

I'm guessing Bubba and the other guy are in there for murdering their tattoo artists. LOL, I thought this was some sort of parody, but apparently it's real (the cartoon, that is). Now I wonder if that factoid about Jeb! is really true, or is his campaign is so sad, that even Ripley's is piling on. Poe's law, and all.

This made me laugh really hard USA Today posted:Jeremy Bowers, a New York Times Interactive web developer, tweeted Monday a photo of the Jeb2016.com JavaScript whose text summed up the action movies, with this twist: "Also starring Severus Snape." Snape, of course, had nothing to do with the Die Hard movies, but rather is a character in the Harry Potter books and movies. [UPDATE: However, the actor who played Snape, Alan Rickman, also played the bad guy in the first Die Hard.]

I dunno, I feel like these are about on par with what BC was like by the end of the first run. The series had a definite peak in the mid-80's, then kinda slid to about this level by the end of the decade. Breathed has had some time off, so it might take him a while to get his swing back.

Not to go all SMG on you, but Star Wars appeals to the right because it is essentially a Western in space (OK, it's inspired by Kurusawa's The Hidden Fortress, but gunslinger movies and samurai movies share a lot of storytelling DNA). As such it is simultaneously looking back to what the right perceive as a golden age of Pioneer Spirit and forward to a bright technological future. Add in the value of military heroism and it's right-wing gold.

I honestly love watching them simultaneously try to maintain that Trump is a straight-shooter with good points that stands up to political correctness and walk back comments about how women are dogs and Mexicans are rapists.
