If anyone was thinking about picking up the Dragon Quest mobile game it's good for what it is and there's an event on for the next 2 days that increases you chances at pulling the rarest monsters "greatly" & gives you enough premium currency for an additional draw. There's a 5 or 10 minute reroll loop if you keep a window open to the above link. Not as vital as in PAD but chances to pull a good mon are lousy (10 or 15% prob) unless you save enough to draw 10 at once.

I've been playing Framed since it was mentioned a few posts back. It's pretty good. A lot of the puzzles can be completed by trial and error, especially at the beginning. However, as you go, new mechanics are introduced and you get a higher concentration of puzzles that require some logic to complete.

I'd say it's worth spending a buck of your survey money on.

Thanks for finding out that Garena doesn't really require a number, I've really been wanting to try this. Sadly, the rerolling is going pretty slow since the login just gives 100 gems, putting you at 200, and you need 300 and all. Keep having to clear the first 3 real dungeons for that last bit.

Unless you get a bit extra for an invite code. You mind posting yours?

ya you need an invite code to get the extra 200 gems at the beginning so you can roll 2x after getting Frizzard. Here are the ones posted itt so far, they're not really case sensitive (also they don't do anything for anyone but you until you clear the 2nd chapter)

sometimes it won't take the same one twice in a row, sometimes it doesn't take it at all and just starts the game w/ no bonuses. Every time I log out I close the app and it seems to work whew

This discussion hasn't come up in a while so I'll :can: and ask for your guys' suggestions for roguelikes. I played several hours of Pixel Dungeon this past week but never once made it past the third or fourth floor. I'm sure I'm just terrible, but I never felt like I could level up fast enough to survive later floors. And there's not a whole lot of variety in items and enemies so my runs kinda started to blend together. What are some alternatives I should try out? Free or paid doesn't matter to me.

There's a couple variants to pixel dungeon out there, and it's worth learning the ins and outs. It's completely off base from your question but if I'm not doing pixel I'm probably playing King of Dragon Pass. I highly recommend it.

I like Sproggiwood (sic?) a lot -- it's less tactical than some, but has fun classes and levels and I enjoyed it a lot. Also on high difficulties there are definitely times when you have to plan carefully, but it's still beatable. It has semi-persistence in the form of items that carry over from run to run.

Also, try Hoplite! It feels like more of a puzzle, and though there's less variety in terms of classes or whatever it feels very tactical and is a great game.

Hey Everyone!

I'm going to be running an alpha/beta test for an upcoming puzzle game I will be releasing within the next couple of months.

I'd like to invite you guys to test out the game for me.

The first phase of testing is going to be focused on the interface and general aesthetic of the game and the second phase will focus on level balancing for difficulty and progression.

I'd like to have about 10 or 20 people testing to give feedback.

The testing will likely start in about two weeks, right now I am doing in-house testing with people I actually know.

Anyone who helps test will get a free copy of the game when it releases (a $1 or $2 value! :v:).

If you're interested in helping me test the game drop an email to admin@mode6.net and I'll send you an invite to the google group for the testing.

That's exactly what it is. My level 5 two star has slightly lower stats than my level 1 3 star so it's not an insignificant difference.

Trying out Shop Heroes and I feel like I'm treading water. I'm close to level 7, have a few low-level things mastered and I've got the basic concept down, but I'm not sure what there is to do in between bursts of crafting. I can crank out items for several minutes, then it's time to shut it down again and let the wood and iron stocks recharge. I'm five levels away from being able to hire the textile worker for the clothing items the customers keep asking for, gold trickles in but is far outpaced by town building upgrade costs, and I'm not seeing a clear way to speed the process up.
