I look at that picture and I imagine Hawkman and Hawkwoman just getting into incredibly awkard and uncomfortable domestic rows and arguments during JLA adventures. And everyone turning blind eyes to it.

I only have excellent ideas
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the infamous Superman cover where he switches Lois Lane's race via machine titled "I Am Curious (Black)?" I'm always astonished by the mainstream penetration (ahem) of that particular movie. It's hard to imagine two very visible superhero comics in 2015 making such casual reference to a Swedish art-house movie, let alone one with such a risque reputation.

You are correct. And yeah, that movie was a breakout hit even at the time for reasons nobody can seem to fathom.

To be fair, there are definitely film titles and the like that that people will hear about without knowing the context. I've heard of "I am Curious (Colour)" but never had the foggiest idea what it was. The Simpsons used it as a title at least once, I think? See also: the people who knew that something called 'Sophie's Choice' was a hard decision but didn't realize it was originally about choosing which of your children is killed by Nazis.

I believe The Simpsons had an "I Am Furious (Yellow)" because no one ever seems to remember poor old I Am Curious (Blue).

I don't think they were going for an "innocent" look for her inviting Peter out for Netflix and chill.

I had an old promotional comic from Norton/Symantec where Stark Industries was hacked and a ton of Tony's financial and tech assets were stolen, but I think NIS2010 helped get them back.

Oh, and I think Tony going after the cyber thieves with his Iron Man suit helped, too...

How could we forget the old Radio Shack-Superman comics? Where the TRS-80 Whiz Kids used the incredible processing power of the TRS-80 to help Supes save lives?

The idea was that Superman gets affected by some green-K dust thanks to Major Disaster, and the only thing that can help him not be a mindless wreck are two junior high kids with a Radio Shack home PC.

There were actually a few of these, and eventually Wonder Woman and Supergirl got in on the action.

That's actually pretty impressive considering that the internet was still like a decade away.

I admit I love those old pocket computers, if for no other reason that they're actually pretty useless. Especially since it didn't have a lot of on-board memory, so to save your work you had to get a cassette docking unit.

Yup, back in Ye Olden Tymes we actually used cassette tapes for data storage.

The Marvel Facebook game for a long time had an item called Norton Anti Virus shield.
It was an item that removed all debuffs from your hero and gave them a Shield. Even after the partnership with Norton expired, the items stayed in the game and are quiet valuable.

The their was the U Ops. Which were quests you did where you had to save all of Shield because someone had used Pirate Bay on the Helicarrier and now Fixer was able to steal their secrets.

Cassettes were just cheaper and more portable than a hard drive at that time. Even today tape is the best way we have of storing data.

Speaking of PSA tie in comics, I had a bunch of old Popeye Career Path comics we found by the school's dumpster when I was a kid. Basically it's Popeye and the gang teaching high schoolers about what jobs they might look into to make things easy for guidance counselors. Then there's the lady cops that have to try to convince hookers to go straight.
