I don't know about friendly fire but in some of the missions included in the various expansions they have you escorting VIP ships and give players a "Protect" action which lets them assign an Evade token to the thing they're protecting with no set limit for how many ships can Protect a given thing at once.

Nothing for friendly fire except with some bombs, really. They do try to keep the game super simple. There's actually an upgrade for ships that makes them act as an obstacle for shooting just like asteroids(adding a green die for the defender) but it only works for large ships. As Kai Tave said, in some scenarios they added in a "protect" action to make it a bit easier for escorts to protect an objective.

Mostly the same reason you don't see a ton of Wedge or other X-Wings (Strobe notwithstanding). It's a solid ship, but it doesn't have any repositioning ability, and doesn't really do anything nifty. Few upgrades. He's good, but very plain. Plus scum is still new enough that their variety is pretty low.

Hrmmmmmm. Trying to decide if it's worth paying $72.00 for the TIE/A contents of the Imperial Raider box sans the Raider and its respective upgrades. I mean, I'm never going to field a Raider and I don't even own any of the equivalent Rebel ships but I really want those pilots.

You don't really want Talonbane to use Predator as his EPT - His thing is he's gonna be rolling 5 Dice by preference, so you want to be Target Locked to have the maximum potential re-rolling. And if you're doing that, you can't use Predator anyway. Opportunist works, for example, but that's more with Palob than Torkhil. Likewise, if you're gonna buy Adv. Homing Missiles, you could buy an Engine Upgrade instead, to ensure you're at Range 1 instead of having the Missiles as 'something to fire at Range 2'.

I think Glitterstim is a useful choice for, well, it works good for any ship that has more than 1 green die really. Honestly while I might go with the Engine Upgrade, I think Lightning Reflexes despite being a one and done card gives you some useful flexibility and forces your opponent to play around it even when it's not in use.

It will allow you to use a focus on the first attack and have a target lock for the second. The Y-Wings shouldn't be getting much stress to worry about needing the extra green moves.

With Autothrusters you can count on it saving you at least the one hit a shield upgrade would. Occasionally I'll run a Targeting Computer on Fel but with TLTs everywhere the extra defense is probably better.

I can neither confirm nor deny allegations that I placed an order on Amazon for a Y-wing, Z-95, TIE Bomber, and TIE Advanced (although the X-wing/TIE Fighter videogame nerd in me wishes it was the TIE Avenger, but whatevs), or that I've found a local board/miniature game shop that does "X-wing night" every Monday.

Funny, I just heard about a Monday night event at a slightly further game shop than my normal game shop. I've been trying to get X-wing going, but it's been pretty slow going. I might have mentioned it here, It looks like it'll be a once a month thing starting October, paired with an Armada event at the same time, but at least until then I want to check out this Monday thing (or maybe do both) No, Phoenix I see.

As for Greedo, he's there because Bossk's ability is to change a crit into two hits, but with Greedo the first face-down damage card you deal to an enemy is face up, so you essentially get that crit right back. He also makes you vulnerable to the same thing, but I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff when I've got 6 shields to work with.

So the text on the Tie/FO Omega Ace states:quote:When attacking, you may spend a focus token and a target lock token you have on the defender to change all of your results to [the critical hit icon] results Am I reading this right that if I attack at range 1 with Omega Ace, I can spend a target lock and a focus token to guarantee 3 critical hits? Because if so that's really amazing.

Came 16th at a summer tourney, managed to get a recon specialist! Went with a list I came up with yesterday, had no chance to test run and with a ship (the YV-666) that I've never flown before, so I'm happy even though I got 2-3 in the results. The list was slaver with bossk, gunner and EU, Drea with proton torps, r4-b11 and TLT (so much stress) and a syndicate thug with TLT. I faced a two ywing TLT list with a Corran (destroyed the ywing but the e-wing finished me off), a bossk, two Zs and talonbane list which I won with only one ywing lost, a fat Han and jake (only killed jake), bossk and two ion ywings, which I lost against and finally a kwing, Corran list which I won against easily. Th slaver with bossk gunner is an absolute loving steal at 40 points, it doesn't care where it goes, I doesn't care about stress and it absolutely rips anything apart. I'm in love.
