Nah. Year after next could be a real push into finals but we lack some elite talent in the midfield to really push next year.

Doing an essay on the social role of football/netball clubs in Victoria, I came across the highest recorded score in a senior game of football apparently happening in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League.

1990: Campbell's Creek (100.34.634) d Primrose (3.0.18)

A goal a minute. That seems slightly bullshit.

Did some googling and found this on BF about that game.

BigFooty posted:

Campbells Creek's record total was made up of scores of 20.4, 25.8, 29.10 and 26.12 in each term.

The Magpies brought up the 100-goal milestone when ruck-rover Butch Sartori slotted through his 18th with 20 seconds left in the match.

Sartori led the Magpies' goalkickers, while forward pocket Craig Ginnivan (17), half-forward flankers Kelly Stevens (14) and Craig Pietsch (13), and centre half-forward Alister McGibbon (13) also had days out

Insane.

Swanpool coach Darby Morrison believes the Ovens and King football league needs to adopt a two-tiered competition in order for struggling clubs like his own to survive.

The swans are without a win so far in 2013, with their six losses coming by an average of 218 points

Yeah even the Bendigo Football (?and Netball?) League has teams losing by 100+ points every week.

I've played in very bad junior teams, where one or two wins in a season was seen as good. I couldn't imagine as an adult wasting my Saturdays getting belted week in week out.

Bulldogs have delisted Ayce Cordy, Fuller & Darley from our senior list and Goodes, Kelly & Pearce from our rookie list. Cordy going makes me think that Minson is sticking around while Grant hasn't been offered a new contract and we're keen on Nick Coughlan in the draft.

Pretty poor taste for Patrick Dangerfield to come out and say that a month before he formally comes out for Geelong.
Do you think it will actually be a month or will he switch after Adelaide's finals campaign ends?
