Sakurazuka posted:The only time I ever ran out of time in a Warriors game was the stage where you had to escort Nobunaga to the escape point in the first Samurai Warriors. He would stop and fight every single enemy in the way so you had to basically clear the path out totally before he would move on. I can't remember whose weapon I was trying to get--I think it was Masamune Date--but that mission screwed me. It bugged out because I killed some general too fast, so the gates never opened for Nobunaga

If it turns out that it doesn't work for whatever hosed up reason, remember that Steam lets you refund games within 48 hours now.

As long as you play under 2 hours. I tried to do a same day return last week but since I was at 4 hours they denied me.

So are there any characters who appeared in Pirate Warriors 1 and 2 that are not present in three?

Big news for Romance of the Three Kingdoms fans coming out of Tokyo Game Show this morning, as Tecmo Koei confirmed at SCEJA's Asian market-oriented TGS pre-show conference that RoTK 13 will be localized into both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, and most important of all English! This does not confirm a North American and European release of RoTK 13, but it does confirm that the game will be accessible to English-reading markets overseas when the game releases in both Asia and Japan on December 10th. Presumably only the Asian release will contain English, so please make sure to double check before you put any money down. As said before, RoTK 13 is coming out on PC, PS3, and PS4. Here's a new trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dwz1acY5ykA

The randomized nature of Dream Log in Pirate Warriors 3 can lead to some pretty hilarious situations. Perona is being defended by Kuzan and Doflamingo and they need your help fending off Mr. 3! It also means that if you get some bullshit level like any of the ones where you have to keep the enemy commander out of a particular territory you can just fail it and go back and get a completely different stage.

And it also does things like not giving you coins for beating powerful enemies

On the other hand, it seems like the developers decided to lean on Sphere of Influence for the mechanics, particularly battles and the "nodes" approach to the strategic map.

It saddens me to say that I have played the Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games, as well as Bladestorm and Dynasty Tactics; but have yet to buy a ROTK game. Does liking DW automatically mean I'll like this game?

RoTK is a turn-based strategy game, sort of like the strategy portions of DW: Empires, only with a lot more depth.

I wouldn't say my experience with Pirate Warriors 3 has been a bad one but I don't see myself getting any PC Warriors games in the future. It's nice to have it in Steam and maxing out your graphical settings but guessing at the button prompts and dealing with (infrequent) crashes isn't really worth it.

So what's the combo I should be using to make Eneru invincible in Nightmare mode? I've been doing the thunder dragon, which usually charges my Kizuna gauge to full and lets me do a stupid infinite loop, but I feel like I don't get as many i-frames and I would expect from a character who's been described a few posts up as "invincible."

Someone send help, I bought Pirate Warriors 3 on steam last night and have almost no idea what's going on. Keep in mind I've played every DW since 4, along with SW4 and WO3. The controls are confusing to begin with, since the game doesn't have real controller support. I think X and Y are like a normal and ranged attack, then B is Musou(or whatever it's called in this) and A is like the spirit rush thing from SW4? I understand that much, but can someone explain this Kizuna stuff? I get that if it's at level 3 pressing RT starts a powerup mode thing that powers up your Musou and stuff. But the game also says something like you do a normal Kizuna attack by pressing another attack button after performing a "charge attack"? What the hell is a charge attack? I read all the tutorial hint things and they never even use that term anywhere else.

Charge attack is the dash button, it works like in the Gundam games where you can use it to extend your combos, also once the Kizuna gauge is up to a certain level (1, I think) after certain combos and then dashing into an enemy pressing an attack button after that will bring your shipmates in to do a quick Kizuna attack. The charge attack will also knock boss characters out of their glowing white special and give you and opening to stun them.

Yeah, a Kizuna Attack is a supporting action that happens if you keep mashing the button in a combo. Your Kizuna Gauge has to be 2+. So like if you did a light-strong attack and kept mashing the strong button, after the attack completes, the screen flashes grey for a second and whoever you've chosen will appear and deliver a quick attack also. Sometimes, it's hard to tell, like Zoro's light combo, which is just a horizontal slash. Sometimes, it's really easy, like Kizaru's strong combo, which just freezes a bunch of guys around you so you absolutely know it happened. Getting "!"s is weirdly inconsistent with regular Kizuna Attacks. Zoro's strong combo is a straight-line attack that looks like it hits a bunch of guys, but you'll only get like five "!"s out of it. Luffy's strong combo is pretty much the same, except you get like five hundred "!"s because his counts every enemy who gets bowling-pinned by enemies flying backwards. Zoro's does not. Any kills or knockbacks you get in Kizuna Mode proper, however, always count as "!"s, so that's a great reason to not just use the special musou attack as soon as you activate the mode.

A tip with Kizuna is to press it again to save yourself some meter once you're done with it (If you end it early, you have at least 2 Kizuna). Keep in mind that if you go into Kizuna mode, that character will be added to your kizuna support attack so spam Kizuna modes with different characters I.E. going into Kizuna mode with Zorro, Sanji, and Nami will eventually have all 3 attack by the mid-late game of a mission.
