I'm picturing Jarsburg as a very particular type of rear end in a top hat who goes around complaining about how he is not allowed to say N*****r because African-Americans are too sensitive and Racism is totally a thing of the past and WHY CAN'T I SAY friend of the family YOU UPPITY COLOREDS!? And I'm picturing him doing this to his token black friend he has at work, and his token black friend just sighs and takes it because he really doesn't want to raise a stink and be an unemployed black man in this economy. Ugh, I need to go scrub off the top layer of skin with steel wool after that post.

I'm guessing the cartoon is saying an actual adult in charge doesn't kick up a fuss about being an adult in charge, they just act appropriately. "C.S. Lewis posted:“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” I share the expectation that Turnbull will be a horrible oval office who doesn't gently caress around, exactly the sort of person who should be PM regardless of party. Let's see if he wants to just push his own narrow interests like the last PM or if he actually wants to build a future like Labor tried to do.

....but it was a clock, you paste-eating troll. e: But let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt. It looked suspicious. Let's give his engineering teacher the benefit of the doubt in telling him to keep it hidden, and let's give his English teacher the benefit of the doubt when, upon finding it, the teacher alerted the principal. (Why the teacher just plain kept it in their desk if BOOGA BOOGA IT'S A BOMB, well, we'll just ignore that.) And let's give the principal the benefit of the doubt because we live in a post-Columbi....Sandy Hoo...there are a lot of school massacres. So the principal calls the cops. Great. And let's give the cops the benefit of the doubt when, even though it was a clock, they still reprimanded the student for bringing in something that looks suspicious. Why then did you lead the kid out in handcuffs? When, after all your hunting and pecking and searching and interrogating, it was still a clock? D.N. Lemme help you out. A couple of days ago we had a "Chattanooga Unite" parade and rally to honor the service members slain in the attack a couple of months ago. Samuel L Jackson (a native), along with the mayor and a couple of other important people spoke. Jackson actually made a really great speech, you should look it up on Youtube. But I digress. One of the speakers was 4-Star Navy Admiral James "Ace" Lyons (seen above). He was there to honor the servicemen, talk about the sacrifice of our military personnel, and otherwise wax philosophical about the nature of violence and war. Instead, he started channeling Fox News, blaming Obama for 6 and a half years of liberal darkness. The officials in charge of the event very sheepishly escorted him off stage in front of a dumb-founded audience. Even the conservatives in the city are disappointed that he tried to turn a rally of unity and common-cause into a senility fueled rant.

It looks like he's putting it up, the last slogan created by the machine (see the oil stains that show a path between where Turnbull is standing and the machine's output slot); but the different shade on the door makes it look like he's removing it.
