I just assume that he doesn't have enough money to make more because Jonah shorted him for his pictures and Aunt May needed to pay for her meds out of pocket or something. This also works for why he runs out of webbing!

I remember owning an annual back in the late 80's early 90's where they were compared to the Fantastic Four - As flexable as Reed, disintergrate after a few hours, so untraceable a-la Sue, Torch can't burn them and they're strong enough to contain Thing. I hated the last one because I liked Thing, and I was getting fed up with my favourite Strong Guy constantly getting one-upped by other Strong Guys, like Thor and Hulk.

According to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, Thing's Power Grid shows a Strength stat of 6 (Superhuman: Able to lift over 75 tons, up to 100 tons.), while Thor and Hulk are bot Strength 7 (7 = Incalculable: Able to lift in excess of 100 tons.). Maybe you should select a superior Strong Guy (but not Actual Strong Gut, who is off being the Supreme Lord of Hell or some poo poo.).

The Champion, wielder of the Power Primordial, challenged Thing, Namor, Hulk, Colossus, Sasquatch, Thor, Doc Samson, and Wonder Man to a boxing match, and if Champion won, he'd blow up the planet or something. Thing is the only one who got to round 2. Marvel Two-in-One Annual #7 (1982) according to Wikipedia. ... Namor was booted out for not doing what he was told, Thor was disqualified for throwing his hammer (he couldn't fight without it so they let him have it in the ring), Wonder Man blew everything up by accident and Champion wouldn't fight Hulk because he thought he was a dumb animal. So even in his one moment of badass, the comic has to write out the real threats in order to not show Ben up...

Rigged Death Trap posted:SO THATS WHERE DEXTERS LAB GOT IT FROM. They even looped it back around to comics. There was an issue of Deadpool Team-Up (special guest the Thing) where an alien that acted like Randy Savage came to a wrestling show and challenged their best or he'd destroy the planet. Deadpool was all, "Weren't you on an episode of Dexter's Lab?" Meanwhile, Deadpool was there for the best reason. He figured that everyone would forgive him for all his past crimes if he just became a heel wrestler and turned face. Which, as a wrestling fan, is completely sound logic.
