There are people willing to spend nearly 3 quarters of a million dollars on a razor with a ridiculously underpowered laser that would take approximately seven hours to shave a thin beard and leave a crapload of stubble. Where do these people get this money to waste and can I please have it instead so I can buy the guillotine you all so richly deserve?

None of us are cleanly shaven – in fact, one looks like a bum, one looks like a hipster, and one like a porn actor – trust us to make a razor. Hymirvetr posted:"Black guy section"? That can't be a real thing you hosed up racists actually have. Well black people are more likely to get razor bumps and our hair shafts are of a wildly different shape than some other ethnic groups typically, so yes. Though at barbershops they call it "ethnic hair" in most places and not "black people hair".

Since then no one makes hair removal creams for men. gently caress those guys. Its not like its disposable or laser, there's a whole middle ground in there that most people already use, which their video overlooks completely. Well in fairness, you're talking about electric razors as if they performed the same function as disposables. They don't, I don't know anyone who *only* shaves with an electric razor, because they just don't shave as close. They're fine if you get up late for work and just need to look presentable, but they just don't work as well at the job of shaving. They exist in the market because of the convenience factor, but if they did everything disposables do, disposables wouldn't exist in that market. quote:Their example unit is clearly just a mock that doesn't work, they don't know how it'll work. They have a high powered laser that can cut hair, whoopdie doo. How are they going to fit that into a razor, or how are they going to make it into a stream laser instead of a point, how expensive will it be, how long will the battery last, and will it even be any more comfortable than a normal razor? They'll also need to license the patent from Mad Magazine. Phanatic has a new favorite as of 03:08 on Sep 29, 2015 |

There is a super fragile wire where the blade should be. It seems there are only a few optic fibers so you have to move the razors sideways to be sure to hit a hair. It looks painful by the way the guy is shaking and moving erratically. They probably removed the sound so we can't hear him moaning in pain. At least this kickstarter will provide me a good source of schadenfreude and remind me that if I ever need money I can always count on humanity being full of gullible people like Gary who are eager to separate themselves from their money SpaceGoatFarts has a new favorite as of 09:19 on Sep 29, 2015 |

Electric razors get the job done if your facial hair grows slowly, honestly. Despite being almost 30, my facial hair just grows really slowly, so electric razors have always worked well enough. It takes a couple days for me to even get stubble after shaving, so an electric razor gets close enough. Sure I can go an extra day or two if I use a disposable, but at that point I may as well just use my electric razor again.

I was gonna say, maybe a cheap electric will give you a bad shave, but for the same $200 you would spend on a lovely laser shaver you can get a really really high quality electric shaver that'll do a pretty drat good job.
