BottleKnight posted:Driving is one of the best things about a city. If a city requires driving but has terrible traffic then that is the worst, but I like driving and wouldn't be super keen to give it up. I'd love to be able to drive, but it ain't happening, so having the option to not have to drive would be amazing. Unfortunately, the nearest public transit station to where I live is three miles away.

So I ordered food and then went to the ATM to get cash because I don't want to pay with credit card it's not important whatever. When I was on my way back I heard a cat mewing pitifully. I could see it, but it would run away whenever I got close, but still meowing and maybe it is in pain it sounded hurt. But then there was a big raccoon since it was by some dumpsters! And also I had to get back to my apartment because the food might be coming?? I have a carrier and some cat food and I can use my phone as a flashlight, but I have to wait for the food to get here so I'm just sitting around doing nothing and I want to go back out there to find this cat and also I hope the raccoon doesn't attack me or the cat. It's really cold and it would be very bad if this cat spent the night outside. Ughhhhh I hate this waiting I want to at least try to do something!

My food finally arrived so I could go look for the cat. I walked around for a while, but could not find it (or the raccoon). I tried listening really carefully too and didn't hear it anymore. There are some very dense reeds/bushes/grass behind my building so if it went in there, there'd be no chance I'd ever find it anyway. I hope you are okay kitty and you find someplace warm to spend the night

I can draw Europe and South America from memory. If I can ever get my computer working again, I will post my attempts in the thread. One of the best road trips I had involved myself and the other passengers competing over who could draw the most accurate maps. Somehow the UK and Italy always ended up huge.

I went looking again but still couldn't find it. I left an open can of catfood out where I last saw it and waited around for about 15 minutes, but still nothing. I guess worse case is that I fatten up that raccoon I saw with the cat food.

The raccoon was pretty fat and fluffy. If I had my phone with me at the time I would have taken a picture of it chilling on top of the dumpster.

You might actually be surprised. If there is enough food around, the kitten might actually be sort of living with the racoon. I worked at a pizza place and rescued 3 two month old kittens that lived with the racoons and played with the baby racoons because they all ate out of the dumpsters behind the place and there was plenty of food.

CCKeane posted:WHAT DO YOU LIKE ON YOUR HAMBURGERS I consider myself a hamburger connoisseur and there are a number of great options. Cheese is vital, of course. Not too thick, though, the slice of cheese must be thin enough to melt to a gloop (this is important for mouthfeel). Crispy lettuce will always be required to give your burger the requisite level of crunch. At this point you have options and can go in a number of directions. One of my favourites is to add bacon and BBQ sauce for a real smokehouse burger, if you're really feeling dangerous you could even add an onion ring or two! Another choice which I'm drawn to is to add a hash brown, though this is purely because hash browns are the food of the Gods, hoarded in Olympus until Prometheus risked Zeus's wrath to steal them for humanity. Lastly I have not yet mentioned the burger itself. The burger is the key ingredient in your burger and there are so many great choices available. Don't feel restricted to the traditional ham or beef! Why not try lamb? Why not try buffalo? Why not try yak? An intriguing burger meat is the best way to make your burger special. In Hamilton we have a heavenly place called Chuck's Burgers, which always has a massive wait to get in but drat, let me tell you, they work some magic there. My personal fave combo from their super-customizable menu is a beef burger with a slice of smoked cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, chipotle ketchup, and onion rings. It's to die for and I always regret ordering fries because the burgers are so filling. Ugh. I love burgers. Anyway, I was reminded of this because I like your burger style, Rarity. Speaking of unusual burgers, Chuck's carries a bacon burger which is literally made of ground bacon. MMM tried it and I think he said he was glad he tried it but he wouldn't order it again, which sounds like an accurate description of a burger literally made of bacon if we're being honest here.
