They seem to keep hitting their fundraising goals each quarter. So quite a few to get to the ridiculous 80k.
Of course those are self-reported totals so we have no idea how accurate they really are. I've noticed that their last couple of fundraisers have been kind of anemic compared to just a couple of years ago, so who knows how much they really raise nowadays.

It's especially funny when you consider that outside of a few outliers like Turkey and Morocco the Islamic world does not observe DST. So I guess that means that DST was really created to stop the scourge of Islam from spreading. (and Arizona is secretly part of the Worldwide Caliphate)

It's great when people pick the world's least slippery slopes to point at. Man, it's been since the Civil War and the Confederate flag has gone from flying over government buildings to flying over fewer government buildings. By the time they get around to confiscating your Jesus fish you can just laugh at them and zoom off to Pluto in your hover bubble.

Since kids in junior high and high school won't get much from nuanced, lengthy explanations of conflicts that could fill a series of studies, the Crusades was told in a simple way. Christendom invaded some places, Caliphates invaded some places, religion was a factor. The end. We still tell our kids that Christopher Columbus discovered America because it's a nice fable about perseverance and discovery, same way we don't tell them that their toys were probably made by children their age in some hellhole. Sleep tight, kids!
What's the chance that these people forgot what their own public school education was like or that they were home-schooled entirely?

Also, I think it's important to have a "Truth" detector to separate the wheat from the chafe.
During the time that I've been a FReeper, I've had the occasion to read thoughts and posts from many hundreds of FReepers and it seems the common theme is that, for the most part, we all share a Christian or Jewish worldview.
Now, that's not to say we don't have many non-believers here too, and I know several who are brilliant, but the majority of us follow God's Word the best we are able.
Having said this, I ask the question:
Is it too late for America to recover from it's collective lack of critical thinking skills?

I like that we focused on the insane views of just the select few of freepers rather than my usual shotgun approach. Speaking of....

BUT, Lando served an important role in the story, they needed a balck guy but got him into more than a token role. The screenwriters did a great job with that.
It remaims to be seen what this role is, he may end up being the Jar Jar of the sequel trilogy.

Well...I haven’t read your mail. Maybe there are people who have a problem with black characters in Star Wars.
Not me. Mace Windu and Lando Calrissian added wonderfully inimitable parts to the whole.
My problem (such a “first world problem”!) is that as far as I know, all stormtroopers are clones of Jango Fett (played by a Maori).
Perhaps the story will explain that other warriors were cloned in later generations of stormtroopers. Or that they dropped the clone idea and started open enlistments.
Anyway, that’s the point. Not that you’re black, but that you are a stormtrooper. It doesn’t fit the known narrative.
Oh well....you can’t be all as awesome as Sam or Billy Dee

A black stormtrooper does not make sense in this context anymore then a red head or a Japanese one would.
This has nothing to do with race but with continuity of the story line.
It would be like having Gandolph be played by a Orc, Rudolph be played by a giraffe or Frosty by a tree. The break jars you and ruins suspension of disbelief that is necessary to enjoy the story.

That is the beauty of replaceable parts and why it is used in just about every kind of manufacturing now days.
