From LifeSiteNews

quote:

October 13, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) -- The Journal of Sex Research has published a study which found that over the long term, men and women who view pornography are more likely to support abortion.

Researchers from Ontario's Western University used a long-term U.S. study, involving nearly 11,000 men and over 14,000 women, who were surveyed every one to two years starting in 1973.

The study, by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, asked participants about their pornography viewing habits, as well as various topics relating to the equality of women in society, including abortion.

Psychology and Sociology experts Taylor Kohut, Jodie L. Baer and Brendan Watts published their conclusions from the U.S. study under the title, “Is Pornography Really about ‘Making Hate to Women’?”

What they found was a correlation between porn viewing and increased support for abortion. Given their findings, they said, porn users could be "useful allies" for those who are fighting for “reproductive autonomy and bodily integrity.”

Why is it always an AR-15? Handguns, shotguns, and hunting rifles all have their own specific uses and strengths, but what does the AR-15 have going for it besides its imitation combat rifle look? Is that honestly why it's so popular?

Isn't the AR-15 just an M-16 assault rifle with a few small changes to make it semiautomatic and technically legal for civilian ownership? I looked at the Wikipedia page for the AR-15 but it's about 7,000 words of pure gunsperg.

The AR-15 is the gun culture equivalent of "doing it the American way because we're America", when simultaneously there exist European designs that work way better and more efficiently that we should be using instead.

Boy NBC/MSNBC sure has been fellating Trump in the last few days. Wonder what's going on? They're giving him an SNL hosting slot, a town hall, and today MSNBC continues to whore out the interview they did with him yesterday, which was objectively unremarkable. This morning they talked about how confusing it is that Trump was so nice and reasonable in the interview, and then later the same day gave a speech where he said some hateful and insulting things about Sanders. The gal who interviewed concluded "it's the crowd that gets him fired up" because Trump, you know, is actually a great, wonderful guy when you sit down & talk to him one on one.

Uh.

The funny thing is that the study is, in a sense, pro-pornography. It's a mild rebuttal to the radical-feminist idea that pornography trains viewers to view women as objects - the study finds that users of pornography hold more "gender egalitarian" views than non-users.

The difference is that LifeSiteNews thinks this a bad thing.

It's not a great study in general because it does almost nothing to account for things like generational views and all, it literally is just 'do you like porn/are women cum dumpsters on legs' and if you say 'yes/no' well hey lookie here feminists porn isn't a problem after all.

It's also literally the civilian version of the M-16. I forget all the differences but they're extremely similar so it lets a person feel like a badass militiaman who will totally go all Minuteman on that tyrant Obummer any day now, you just wait.

I think police also have access to large numbers of them in a lot of areas so the drat things are everywhere. They're inexpensive, easy to get a hold of, and .223 ammo is cheap, easy to find, and plentiful. AK-47s are, of course, even more plentiful but those are Russian and gently caress the reds. Matt Walsh is doxxing people

quote:

Matt Walsh

Just a quick PSA:

People often ask me how I "deal with" all of the hate and vitriol that comes my way. I'm always uncomfortable with the question because it paints me as some kind of martyr. I'm not. It's not like I'm getting attacked physically in real life. These are just words, that's all. Now, I have noticed that the attacks have gotten more intense and unhinged recently -- read the last few comment threads and the visitor posts, including the thread where people are wishing I was aborted, calling me a "cancer," and accusing me of inventing fake profiles on Facebook so I could pretend I have more followers than I do, etc., as an example -- but it all comes with the territory.

Some of these people are so preoccupied with me that I actually recognize their names, only because they post here so incredibly often. Usually these are folks older than me -- a lot older in many cases -- who sit around obsessing over me all day. It's quite sad and pathetic, and I pray for them. I imagine some of them are mentally disturbed in some way, while others are just lonely and bitter. I sometimes reflect upon the fact that, for instance, the women who told me this morning she's praying I get leukemia maybe has a family of her own. Maybe a husband. Maybe kids. I wonder if they know how monstrous their wife/mother becomes when she enters Cyberland. I wonder if these sorts of people let their vulgar, spiteful face show in the three dimensional world, or if they keep it contained behind screens.

Anyway, insults against me are one thing. I usually just ignore them. However, I want to make it clear that I have a different policy for anyone who mentions my wife or kids in any kind of negative or threatening light. Last week someone posted that they hope my son turns gay and my daughter gets pregnant. Two days ago someone emailed that she wishes my wife had aborted my children without me knowing and then told me about it later. Last night, a woman Tweeted saying she hopes my kids kill themselves. There have been other comments along these lines. Some I don't even want to repeat. My kids are two and a half years old. They are beautiful, innocent, and have nothing to do with whatever problem you have with me. I know we're used to "trolls" online saying horrible things, but that does not excuse you from the rules of basic human decency. People tell me to "get used to" this sort of thing and ignore it. But I've never been able to do that, and I never will. Some things are just intolerable. Some things will not be ignored.

So here's how this will go. The woman on Twitter already deleted her account when I publicly shamed her last night. The one here on Facebook I think deleted her comment. I can't find it now. But, listen, from now on, if anyone mentions my children or my wife in any way that at all upsets me, I will use my very large platform to publish your name and information so that everyone, including your employer and your family, will know what sort of things you say about children. What you may not realize is that my Facebook page here is different from most other blogger or commentator pages. I have extremely high levels of activity here. More than a lot of pages with three times my audience. What that means is that my readers are engaged, so if I decide to publicly shame you, it might become a problem for you.

I have never been one to engage in that sort of thing because I know someone can lose their cool on the internet, say something they regret, get shamed for it, and next thing you know they're out of a job and their life is ruined. It's not fair, sometimes. But, in this case, it is fair. You wish death on a toddler and you have earned what happens next, plain and simple. I'm not going to put up with people who say awful things about my family. I have a right to defend them against that sort of thing, and that's what I'll do.

You, on the other hand, have no right to attack my children without facing the consequences. You have no right to hide in some dark corner and fling bile at innocent little kids. The internet gives you that capability, but it also gave me the capability to amass a large audience of people who despise that sort of behavior, and I will use it against you. Period.

It shouldn't come to this, but it has because we are a deranged society. We all must do what we have to do to protect ourselves and our families, because the world is filled with people who are not decent or civilized.

To everyone else, friend or foe, who agrees or disagrees thoughtfully and without dragging my family into it: thank you. I feel privileged that I can have important conversations with you every day. God bless.
