I like how both attempts thus far have been in varying states of sobriety. Edit: Of making the pizza + egg combo, I mean.

I make something similar sometimes by slightly overcooking eggs, using it as a pizza crust, and adding sauce cheese and toppings.

This. Add ketchup and you had my childhood. All you others complaining about the bad chili or bolognese don't know how good you had it. My mum never cooked anything that had a sauce, the only sauce was ketchup.

I do something like this. Make rice, make hot dogs (cut up, use brats if you have some budget), throw in chives and hot sauces of your choice = food time. Even better if you can pair it with some nori, I like the crunchy stuff broken up into the rice and the sheets divided into smaller sheets and then you throw a spoonful in a sheet and eat it. Make rice once a week and you can just do this for days.

No. Spaghetti with butter or olive oil and some parmesan would have been alright, just add pepper for cacio e pepe. But I don't think we would have ever heard of parmesan, even the pre-grated powder stuff. Fo3 has a new favorite as of 07:32 on Oct 19, 2015 |

I'll happily feed my kid a plate of pasta with butter and maybe a little grated parmesan on a late week night coming home to an empty apartment. poo poo, I'll even partake of some myself. And just as happily she'll devour it in front of the TV while I do the chores. If you wanna fancy it up, call it spaghetti al burro. No fucks given, none expected.

Posted before about Swedish Chili con carne: Brown some ground beef and yellow onions. Add a coulpe of cans of baked beans in tomato sauce. Adventurous option: add a clove of garlic Serve over rice. Most kids my age ate this every other week or so. It was a staple dinner and school lunch.

OK got a photo of the SPAM sushi thing I got in Hawaii: It was amazingly good (I had two servings of it that night and another few a few nights later) as a person who hated it the last time I tried SPAM. I guess it's all in the preparation.

Melt the butter into an equal amount of olive oil and you actually have the beginnings of a sauce.

So a few weeks ago I was visiting Japan and when I passed a Burger King there I couldn't pass it up to sacrifice myself for the AFP thread. I present you the kuro taisho burger. http://www.eataku.com/post/127577935674/burger-king-japans-black-burgers-are-back It pretty much looked like on the ad, so that was a big plus. And taste wise not that bad. Just your typical bland burger from BK. The hashbrown was ok, not really my top choice of stuff to put into a burger. The black sauce had a fishy aftertaste but I assume it came from the squid ink. The aftereffects of the burger were much more interesting as my poop really did turn to a really dark greenish color. Also my left middle finger swelled up really bad and I couldn't really bend it for a few days, tho that may have been the insect bite that I got there at the same day.

Humphreys posted:OK got a photo of the SPAM sushi thing I got in Hawaii: I don't hate spam, it's just that gram for gram it's more expensive than real meat (e: it's about $15/kg here if you work it out). So unless you don't have a fridge or shop you can go to daily, it serves no purpose. May as well buy corned beef for $8/kg. Fo3 has a new favorite as of 12:02 on Oct 19, 2015 |

File this one under the "would, but dear god the picture sucks" category. I like to cook, and epicurious.com used to be my go-to when finding a recipe. The site has gone to complete poo poo since Bon Appetit magazine folded, as evinced by this result I just got while searching for inspiration for what to do with a bottom round roast. Really? This is supposed to be a recipe by Mario Batali. The picture is a blurry, poorly composed mess of beef, too-shiny sauce, and "garnish? never heard of it". I expect this crap from "cooking 4 bae" tweets, not a Conde motherfucking Nast site. Not the most horrifying thing we've seen itt, to be sure, but it's truly anti food porn for me. I WAS inspired --- ie, horny to cook, to go with the food + porn analogy --- but now I'm totally turned off and angry.
