The Akk dog is the ultimate example of the game going single player. Cosmetics have always been popular and expensive but this one is amazing. Unlike mounts, pets and armor, this one can literally only be used alone or in a very small group, yet the only one I saw was 50 million on the GTN. Crazy.

Re: running heroics solo... I'm sure it's possible and not even hard, but if you CAN bring a friend, you SHOULD bring a friend, because the increased rewards for grouping are significant. Also, I want to reiterate that they're just as worthwhile when you're at level 65, because for each turn-in you get a pile of different data crystals AND one of those purple boxes that you turn in on Odessen for influence and a random box of legacy gear. Also, if you like the handful of recruitment missions you get at the end of chapter 9, go and run the Star Fortress flashpoint! Doing it once unlocks a BUNCH more recruitment missions, each with a unique new alien companion as a reward. I did the one on Alderaan and got an Ithorian Jedi buddy. My friend did Nar Shaddaa (I think) and got a Nautolan.

The Star Fortress achievements and rewards are so freaking complex my mind exploded trying to read up on it. DEFINITELY not an alt friendly system, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. People may be more inclined to pick a main and run with it and group with others.

Speaking of incentives to stick to a main: I'd literally murder a baby for the ability to save quickbar/utility setups within a class, so I could easily swap between tank & dps specs on my jugg without having to move buttons around every time. As it is, it's easier to just swap to a different character. It's miles above how things were back in the days of skill trees, but I'd still love it if it were even more friendly. Waffledoodle, a baby's life is in your hands

I have a ridiculous number of alts, but I don't really plan to do the new story on all of them. Seems like there are a million other ways to get XP now. It really seems like the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior have by far the biggest personal stake in confronting the Emperor. For most other classes I feel like it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to become THE HIGHLANDER.

I've found it best to just get used to certain keybinds being special moves so there's only a little rearranging to do. For example, when my assassin is in Hatred 3 is Creeping Terror, 8 is Death Field, then it becomes 3 is Dark Ward and 8 is Wither in Darkness spec. Easier with some classes than others (going from Lethality to Medicine is a nightmare) but works well for the moment. One of these days I'll redo my AHK respec scripts. That way they'll introduce it onto the game right when I've wasted hours.

Ok guys so there's an Alliance quest to recruit Doctor Lokin and it requires a loving shitload of Grade 8 medical stuff unless you're an Agent. What you want is:
Stock up now, sell for big profits next week. Be warned that the second phase of the quest requires the Rakghoul Resurgence event no matter what so don't blow your cash if someone else has cornered the market, you can farm them up casually until November 10.

I did Inquisitor and it makes me a bit sad that they didn't do (Inquisitor and KOTFE story spoilers) any references to him having experience with ghosts in his head. I DID love that they called me Darth Imperious though. I chose light side and released the ghosts are the end of his story, I imagine if I'd done dark side and kept them Valykorian might be a bit crowded in my head

I've been trying to use the 12x bonus to get all the different stories done. I was able to get 3 down and was working on a 4th. Now that's it's gone I noticed that there was a sort of new leveling system. Can anyone explain how it works or if it's different? I like the game a lot, but always felt like it became a slog after a while because it took so long to kill anything, but that was gone with the 12x thing. Is it easier to kill things now?

According to the 4.0 patch notes, you should be able to level to 50 just by doing your class quests for each planet along with the planetary quest line, each of which will apparently have its own icon so you can distinguish it from other quests. Also, level scaling will make it so that you can revisit bonus series quests on previous planets AND get level-appropriate XP for doing them.

Great. I am one of those lowly folks who wants to play the game by themselves. I used to dream of maybe one day when the servers get shutdown, they just convert the game to a singleplayer thing as a farewell. But if they make leveling easier, me able to make every companion a heal bot and enemies less of bullet spunges then it sounds like I'll be playing more.

The Core World Changes dev blog explains it in detail, but basically you are expected to stay on level when doing the "critical path", which is your class quests, the main planetary questline (note that the starter planets and the capital world of each faction don't have a main questline so the critical path there will be more sidequest-heavy), and possibly some other important sidequests. All other quests are marked as "exploratory". By default you will not see or be able to pick up exploratory missions unless you activate a checkbox on the upper right of the world map panel. These quests you can do for additional experience/rewards if you choose. Combat itself should be pretty easy with the companion changes.

Basically sure the Republic might be 'objectively' the good guy, but you don't feel like a good guy playing. Meanwhile being a good guy on the Imperial side is way more rewarding and engaging. Companion affection is giving a really massive bonus to Presence, and Presence itself is already pretty strong. Make sure on the stories you completed that you also go ahead and complete the companion conversations, each companion is more Presence. Hopefully you've got a human up to level 50 as well for the presence boost. I went through a companion flashpoint with a friend's companion tanking, and it was nuts. Comp could tank anything and wasn't getting hurt too bad while also doing a bunch of damage.

My main RP character, a badass outlaw swoop biker, has a shiny new speeder today! Here he is attempting a difficult jump on his homemade racing track: You can see that a previous rider did not have the best luck on this course. Here he is trying to figure out where it should go in his custom speeder showroom: For real though, the stuff in the new pack is awesome. I've been littering Tatooine with junk and wrecked machines, just like I always wanted to. I really do wish the log "mount" unlocked a decoration like other mounts. Actually having it sitting in my swoop garage or custom speeder showroom would be such a thing of beauty...

I don't doubt the Zildrog set is going for beaucoup bucks. It's a great set. I've been buying these other things on the GTN - the log, emergency response astromech and assorted wreckage - for prices ranging from 75-300 k, which is really not bad considering this stuff is so new. I'm sure the prices will drop further over the weekend, and I'll probably pick up a lot more. The smoking "blaster mark" that goes on a small wall hook is another favorite. I really love the wrecked republic ATV, but it only goes on a starship hook, which is a dealbreaker. I hope it gets bumped down to centerpiece at some point.
