Carson said on Glenn Beck that he would "intensify" the drug war and that marijuana was a gateway drug that gets people hooked on more dangerous drugs "legal and illegal." There you have it. We can't legalize marijuana because people might get hooked on more dangerous drugs that are already legal. The genius of Ben Carson, ladies and gentlemen.

Among Iowans polled at the end of that document there is a question about TPP and both side's affiliates are about evenly divided between two opinions or none. On Benghazi nobody's unsure - very polarized. We're all TV-addict hayseeds- what happened, Ike?

Over the 31 day month of October he will have spent 2 days in IA, 2 in NH, 3 in NV, and 2 in SC (where he is today and tomorrow). 9 days out of 31 this month in the early states isn't very impressive. Jindal's the incumbent serving governor of Louisiana and he's basically moved to Iowa, and ditto NJ governor Christie with New Hampshire. this was pages ago but I can't resist the joke "well he's had to be in DC so he can be present for votes"

rscott posted:Do they not play MSU, tOSU or UM this year? This may be really late, but the Big Ten now has 14 teams, in two divisions, East and West. The East has Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State, all very good teams. The West has seven teams without any one or two big powers, so any team could really go undefeated. However, that West division champion will have to play UM/MSU/OSU in the conference championship. Iowa got the absolute luck of the draw this year. Northwestern, who was also undefeated, had to play Michigan and lost 38-0. AsInHowe fucked around with this message at 04:14 on Oct 24, 2015 |

rscott posted:I forgot what adding Rutgers and Maryland did to the conference, and I guess no one thought Wisconsin would be this bad either The idea was that, with Big Ten TV contracts coming up and Big Ten regions getting the Big Ten Network on basic cable, adding a team in the NY and DC markets would raise the value of the TV contracts and get more forced cable TV subscriber fees in those giant cities. Sports-wise, Maryland's good at basketball only and Rutgers is an embarrassment in everything. It's screwed up the schedules in basketball by having too many teams, forcing fewer home-and-home matchups for rivalries (Michigan and Michigan State play each other in Ann Arbor only this year). For football, the East division is very top-heavy with UM/MSU/OSU and four bottom teams, and those traditional East teams miss out on playing West teams while having two filler games on the schedule each year. Adding Rutgers and Maryland was a horrible decision that works only if you are very short-sighted and money-loving.
