Because really, Skaven magicians are batshit crazy. You think the inevitable High Elf wizard will be bad? Wait until you've got to deal with some rear end in a top hat rat sorcerer getting so coked up on moon dust that you can see his skeleton glowing through his flesh.

They need to have it so we can play an all magician team at some point though. Give us an undead necromancer, a high elf practitioner, one of the other empire's wizard schools, and the fire mage so we can hear them bicker over whose horribly corruptive source of magic is the best.

The orc has no idea what is going on and is honestly super loving confused by everything, but doesn't really care that much because there's puny little rat gitz ta stomp (and the occasional big rat git ta stomp).

He ends up being best friends with the dwarf because he's the only one who laughs while fighting, the ogre disguise makes it so the dwarf doesn't realize what's up, and the Kommando is too busy being a faux-ogre in front of the humies and stompin' da ratty gitz to press the issue.

Get to the cauldron in Morr's cemetary. Break first thingy, Elf and and Landsknecht go up the nearby stairs so I follow. Dorf hops across glowing green goo in a completely different direction. 15 seconds later Dorf gets Ratsassin'ed.

Amusingly enough, I just heard Kruber say something almost exactly like that while riding an elevator. Basically that she probably never had anything of substance to say, simply because there was nothing interesting about her. Simultaneously playing into his 'nice guy' persona while also still managing to insult the elf.

Everybody making GBS threads on her is rapidly becoming one of my favorite parts of this game.

Anyone got any words on witch hunter? just been rolling around with an axe and crossbow, it's not flashy but its cool as gently caress

Melee:
- Axe is kinda the gently caress STORMVERMIN melee option. It can do decently in other situations, but is nothing special overall.
- Rapier is overall crazy good once you get used to it. The normal swings are fast and slice through groups like you wouldn't believe and the charge-stab is pinpoin-accurate, armor-piercing and has a headshot bonus, which means you will ruin specials and stormvermin with it once you get it down. Plus you get 16 pistol shots just because. Seriously one of the best melee options in the game imo.
- Zweihänder cleaves through crowds, but the slower speed takes some getting used to and it's kinda meh against Stormvermin.

Range:
- Brace'o'Pistols is a great mid-short-range allrounder. Your shots are armor-piercing and a few hits will finish off special, headshots one-shot Clanrats even in higher difficulties and the secondary function gives you the option to rapidly thin out a horde or drop a hell of a lot of DPS into a Rat Ogre at the cost of burning your ammo pool.
- The Repeater Pistol is kinda garbage, unfortunately. I just feels weak to me and doesn't really do anything the brace can't do better.
- The Crossbow is your gently caress SPECIALS sniper weapon. Pinpoint accurate when zoomed in, armor-piercing, can kill just about anything not a Rat Ogre in a headshot and can punch through normal rats to score multi-kills when firing into a chokepoint full of 'em.

Also, he's got an epic hat and is a grumpy, sarcastic rear end in a top hat all the way through. Except during the Wizard's Tower, where he's a grumpy, sarcastic, angry rear end in a top hat because he's just loving done with all this wizard bullshit. :haw:

Coolguye posted:

You will hear the war horns blow shortly after a Rat Ogre engages basically every time. He actively causes horde events. The question is how far away you are from the horde spawn points, and how well your team handles juggling the added slave/clan rats while two or three players wear down the ROgre.

Depending on how good you are at keeping the Rat Ogre at bay, I feel it'd be almost a better idea to just have one guy keep it occupied, while the rest kill off the chaff first, then concentrate on murdering the big bastard.

Yeah, there's a whole bunch of lore-possible stuff they could do that would be fun to play if executed right. Elf Wardancers, Dwarven Engineers or Runesmiths, like eight other kinds of wizards.

Stuff like orcs/goblins and beastmen really would make the most sense as alternate enemy types for different maps, which is something the game needs just as much as more player characters.
