The WiiU now has enough games on it to justify its existence, imo. It's not gonna outstrip the PS4 or Xbone any time soon, but it has its own niche. If you could find a good Black Friday sale, I would say buy it.

I guess I've just never hated a video game system for no clear reason before. Even systems I don't personally want to buy just amounted to "it doesn't have games I want." If it has games I want then I'd buy it. (Or not buy it and not play the games.)
