I never said my flat tax rate for the country would be ten percent. I looked at the numbers and we'll have to tax at a flat rate of fifteen-ish percent. And by fifteen-ish, I mean thirty-two percent.

The USA currently has a taxes/GDP ratio of 0.27. If instead that ratio were 0.15, we would generate the same amount of revenue. I'm a gay brain doctor who never studied public finance or maths.

Yeah, but Carson admitted he wants to double‐tax corporations, and since corporations = people, he’s double‐taxing everyone, so that implies a ratio of 0.30 Q.E.D. checkmate liberal media.

Ben Carson is to 21st century politics as Marcel Duchamp was to 20th century art. Pundits do not understand Ben Carson's campaign just like critics did not understand Duchamp's Fountain in 1917.

Dr. Ben is on a dadaist crusade to destroy the bourgeoisie, who control both the government and the media and perpetuate a divided, partisan mindset as wealth-inequality skyrockets.

Bernie Sanders is an agent of the bourgeoisie, not an earnest reformist like Dr. Ben. That's all career politicians and the journalists reporting on them are now. It's why the GOP debate was such a sham, you should be able to tell they are ignoring real problems and focusing on ad hominem attacks disguised as "questions" to deceive the proles

Ben Carson lies about who is lying all the time.

It's always Carson who is the liar

First let's get to what was asked, what he said:

quote:

At the Oct. 28 Republican presidential debate, hosted by CNBC in Boulder, Colo., moderator Carl Quintanilla asked Carson about his involvement with the company.

"This is a company called Mannatech, a maker of nutritional supplements, with which you had a 10-year relationship," Quintanilla said. "They offered claims they could cure autism, cancer. They paid $7 million to settle a deceptive marketing lawsuit in Texas, and yet your involvement continues. Why?"

"Well, that’s easy to answer: I didn’t have an involvement with them," replied Carson, a former pediatric neurosurgeon. "That is total propaganda. And this is what happens in our society -- total propaganda. I did a couple speeches for them. I did speeches for other people. They were paid speeches. It is absolutely absurd to say that I had any kind of relationship with them. Do I take the product? Yes. I think it’s a good product."

Well, that's bogus. The WSJ explains:

quote:

The company doctor “prescribed a regimen” of supplements, Mr. Carson told its sales associates in a 2004 speech. “Within about three weeks my symptoms went away, and I was really quite amazed,” he said to loud applause, according to a YouTube video of the event.

quote:

Mr. Carson appeared in videos posted on Mannatech’s website until last week, including two filmed in 2013 and styled like commercials. In a version of one, [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQSoHRwtwvIstill posted on YouTube[/url], he praised the company for “trying to find a way to restore the natural diet as a medicine, or as a mechanism for maintaining health.” The videos vanished from the company site shortly after inquiries from The Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Carson also has given four paid speeches at Mannatech gatherings, most recently one in 2013 for which he was paid $42,000, according to the company. It said the earlier speech payments went to a Carson-affiliated charity. It said Mr. Carson “has never been a paid endorser or spokesman” for the company.

quote:

Hudson Freeze, a Ph.D. researcher at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in La Jolla, Calif., who co-wrote a 2007 article critical of health claims made for Mannatech products, said Mr. Carson is careful in his public statements about the company, but they nonetheless “give the sense that his professional opinion as a physician is backing their claims.” Mr. Freeze called Mr. Carson’s involvement with the firm “borderline, if not over-the-line unethical.”

A Carson campaign aide disagreed, saying Mr. Carson “had a speaking engagement—he didn’t endorse the product.”

quote:

Mr. Carson, in a 2013 video that was on Mannatech’s website until last week, commended the company as a way for people to “improve their own financial situation.” He said: “It’s an incredible opportunity for anybody who really wants to be involved with doing something themselves, making a good living....”

Numerous associates, in social-media pitches, have cited Mr. Carson’s involvement. “Want to know all you can about MANNATECH Products endorsed and used by DR BEN CARSON, and the business opportunity?” said a Facebook posting by a Louisiana woman early this year.

“What a privilege to hear Dr. Ben Carson again in Dallas,” posted Julie K. McKerracher, an Idaho associate, after a 2011 Mannatech speech by him. “...what an amazing man whose life was dramatically benefited by Mannatech products.”

So the dude was compensated to endorse the products repeatedly, yet had no involvement with them? Bullshit.

Anyway it's no real mystery about Iowa if you remember they went Huckabee and Santorum in the past two elections. Iowa republicans rarely pick the winner, Iowa Democrats often do though.

Ben Carson, self-diagnosed psychopath who decided to self-medicate with farty-juice and religion, is about to face his first real scandal:

quote:

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Friday tried to offer an explanation for why the details in a story about his involvement in an attempted stabbing have changed over time.

"For one thing, it happened 50 years ago — half a century ago," Carson told the Washington Post. "For another thing, when people record what I've said, they record it in different ways. When you've got something from 50 years ago that's told by many different people, it's sort of like the party game where you whisper to people sitting in a circle. When it gets to the original person, it's very different."

The story in question involves Carson allegedly trying to stab someone else in rage, but hitting his belt buckle and breaking his knife. He has said that incident helped lead to his discovery of religion.

A Tuesday report by The Daily Beast revealed that certain details differ in the many different retellings of the story. In some, he stabs a friend; in others, a random person. He has sometimes said he ran away after the attempted stabbing, while on different occasions said that the other boy ran from him. The description of the knife has also changed.

Carson faces the scrutiny as he stands as one of the GOP presidential primary’s front-runners. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Thursday found him in a statistical tie with Donald Trump — who has been leading the race for months.

Details of Stab-gate are still evolving as new sources of old audio from Carson come forward.
