PCOS Bill posted:Is that a sponge/washcloth hybrid? You should try Ethiopian/Eritrian food. SymmetryrtemmyS's description as a mix between rye and sourdough with something else is very good. Injera is served as a giant piece of flatbread for the table with different very thick stews and salads placed about it. It serves as a communal plate, but then you tear pieces off of the edges and work in to eat the salads and stews you ordered. Since Ethiopian/Eritrian doesn't normally have utensils, you are also eating with it as your main utensil, grabbing what you want, working from the outside in. Usually it will be something like this: Then you get some extra injera on the side to get started.

I'm mostly joking, but it is in their culture to eat with the right hand, and that would be awkward as gently caress for me even though I still write with my right. Looks drat delicious though.

In a lot of countries, your left hand is traditionally the hand you use to wash yourself off after you go to the bathroom. So even if you aren't using your hand as toilet paper anymore, it's still seen as the "dirty" hand that you never ever eat with.

Specific breeds can handle more fat in their diet than others; smaller dogs tend to do very badly on excessively high-protein diets. Some larger dogs do a little better, but yes, left to their own devices they eat a diet that can be described as "meat-friendly, with some exceptions". Cats, on the other hand, need higher levels of protein, made obvious by the length of their digestive tract. They, too, eat small amounts of greens, mostly to forcibly regulate their digestive tract.

Unlike cats, dogs are not obligate carnivores. It's possible, if difficult and expensive, to feed a dog a vegan diet and have them br perfectly healthy.

Feed your dogs green beans and sweet potatoes. Not only is it hilarious to watch them chew green beans, they really like them. Also frozen sweet potato ice cubes were our saving grace for bored, hot dogs this winter. Sorry for the tangent but dogs are not cut out for the paleo diet.

Sweet potatoes are fine on a Paleo diet; green beans have varying levels of acceptability. Most people I know who eat Paleo eat a large variety of fruits and vegetables; maybe some goon is just really bad at reading simple directions? I dunno. There's a difference between feeding your dog grass-fed beef and some veggies, and covering your dog in butter so he'll lick it off and then throwing bacon at his face. EDIT: School food is so depressing. I'd take pictures of my school's cafeteria food, but I refuse to step foot in there since the day they literally served us plates full of rotten garbage. Found this on my facebook feed this morning. Scrolling down it looked delicious (curried chicken and guac with peppers), but then I saw the puddle. It looks exactly like what my cats throw up when they drink too much water too fast, including the tiny chunk of green.

There's a difference between feeding your dog grass-fed beef and some veggies, and covering your dog in butter so he'll lick it off and then throwing bacon at his face. Here's why low-carb diets are really really popular: because you get to eat meat! They'll advertise it as a lot of meat! Just shove that meat in your fat gob and you'll be skinny eventually. So when it turns out that Atkins or Paleo diets actually involve a lot of meal planning, vegetables and less bacon than originally planned, people just take what they want to hear from it (MEAT!) and skip the rest. A great low-carb diet involves lean proteins with a lot of low glycemic index fruits and vegetables (all the worst ones, to be honest). But a magic diet that someone who loves red meat can stick to involves a lot fewer veggies.
