Ok so One man opened fire with an automatic weapon at Petit Cambodge Restaurabt in the 11th district. 4-10 deaths here, situation at point where first responders are treating some/moving bodies, could be secured or could be locked down and ongoing UPDATE edit: suspect fled scene Another man took opened fire with a gun and took hostages at Bataclan arts centre. Not seeing firm numbers on deaths/injuries but appears to be the rest of the 18. Situation ongoing 3 explosions reported near the stadium. No numbers on deaths or injuries yet, early reports say grenades (?), appears to be most chaotic and fewest details, president evacuated. If this isn't coordinated I will be surprised

You don't have multiple attacks in different locations at the same time and assume it to be a coincidence.

A 7.0 earthquake occurred of the coast of Japan. Thankfully CNN has assured us that there is no danger to Alaska, the US West Coast, or BC, Canada... Nothing about Hawaii, Guam, US Somoa, or any other US territory with US citizens because CNN is the absolute worst.

PhazonLink posted:The SCOTUS thread is dead on page three, so I'll ask here, what's the current odds on the SCOTUS being terrible with the Texas issue? The SCOTUS has historically reversed/vacated more often than they affirmed. Even affirming it there there are many ways that they could be awful, and many ways that they could be amazing. One thing that would be great would be if they smack down Texas's claim that all medical restrictions on abortion only needs to meet a rational basis standard. Holding them to a higher standard would require there to be some sort of proof that there is a problem and that the law would solve it - both hurdles that these TRAP laws can't manage to clear because regulating the screws used in the door frame is only connectable to women's health via seriously twisted logic and hypotheticals that never happen in the real world. Who knows how likely that would be though.
