Because they all seemed to be there. and you basically have nothing at that point so they just wreck you. Imaginary Friend posted:Aiming at settlers in building mode highlights their assigned stuff if they have any.. why not just a tooltip saying what they're assigned to, bethesda >_< Yeah, the building mode is too robust to be an afterthought, but the UI is so bad it's unbelievable. It's the one thing that seems really half baked about the game. The worst part is that it feels like it's in this grey area between totally frivolous and necessary. I kind if wish they had fleshed it out more and released it as an update or something.

Does pocketing and deep pocketing armor have any effect when put on a companion? Being able to see their carry weight in game would be really useful.

They don't have infinite molotovs. The cheeky bastards just know to swap positions and let someone else get an angle on you when they run out. I noticed that earlier. One will lob all of his molotovs and then either fall back or advance while another raider takes up his position and provides literal covering fire. Corvega has a ridiculous number of bandits, so when you're behind cover and can't see past due to the steady stream of flame and bullets it just looks like they have an infinite number.

I really wish I could get a good supply of molotovs without having to burn 4 oil on each or just cheat them in cause gently caress they are the only grenade that explodes on contact everything else just gets the heck away from the grenade before it can ever do anything. I hate having to throw frags into the dirt while backpedling to use the dumb things.

I have so many explosives at the moment that I can't possibly use them all. I've started giving grenades to my companions in batches of ten to fifteen since I don't like them weighing me down so much. Incidentally, your companions love to use grenades. Got a ghoul? They'll lob it even if it doesn't have a chance of hitting. Enemy limping behind cover? That's a nade. Are you trying to sledgehammer some rear end in a top hat into oblivion? That's a nade too.

Yeah I don't think any of the enemies have infinite explosives. The Ai can actually be pretty smart when it's not being hilariously dumb so that wouldn't surprise me. There is a mob north of corvega that has an obscene amount of molotovs though. I remember getting destroyed there repeatedly. veni veni veni fucked around with this message at 08:54 on Nov 18, 2015 |

well generally I blitz them all into the dirt with a bat and then loot the corpses before any of them really get to do anything but I get sick of getting like one molotov off of a group of raiders i wanna make the world burn and the flamer is an awful loving weapon

NESguerilla posted:Yeah I don't think any of the enemies have infinite explosives. A few of them do, but I think its only special cases. When I cleared the Ironwork one of the Forged did nothing but throw molotovs. As in, it was the same guy standing in the same spot endlessly chucking molotovs at the wall I was near. I stood still and just watched him do it for awhile to see if he would ever run out, and after a minute I said gently caress it and just facetanked one of the molotovs before smashing his face off. Honestly I don't get the grenade complaints I've heard about this game. Enemies can be really fast and accurate with molotovs occasionally, but those don't even hurt that much relative to a real frag grenade which have generous timers.

The rate at which outdoor sectors reset and repopulate items is a little too quick. It's not even respawning the enemies either so it's just free loot.

So I just figured out a really dumb, inefficient, source of infinite exp. I was in Back Street Apparel doing a mission for Tinker Tom. There's a room with a pick-able safe connected to a hack-able computer terminal. I picked the safe first, then hacked the terminal. Now instead of the option to unlock the safe the terminal gives me the option to lock it instead. When you pick the lock again it gives you 13exp. You can just repeat that indefinitely.

alternatively you could just use console commands to give yourself levels. Though that reminds me of a bug in New Vegas that let you repeat the completion for the Helios quest infinitely as long as you chose the right dialog options, and it gave you a doctor bag, stimpacks, and a pile of caps and exp every time.

Has anyone tried jacking their Charisma up with the console and seeing how high the settler cap can go? Some of my settlements have a few more than my CHA+10 so im guessing they showed up while I was wearing my shopping gear. Also sweet settlement building tip: Objects placed while you are using TCL do not clip so you can actually make stuff decent looking. Objects placed while not using TCL will still have clipping so you will need to pick them up and set them back down if you want to clip through them. Pretty awesome and a lot easier than that rug trick or whatever I've seen posted. Cirosan posted:Collaborating with Russian modder shadwar, I've released a mod that makes the game display the full lines of what your character is going to say in conversation, instead of just a paraphrase. It also revamps the interface so that the game will now display dialogue options in a list and use the number keys for input, instead of clustering all of them together and forcing you to use the arrow keys. Awesome thank you. Really annoying when I say the opposite of what I thought I had chosen.

Pretty much all raider and some super mutant camps love to spam grenades/molotovs. I got pinned down pretty badly in the Atomatoys HQ because one super mutant just stood next to the one path I had upstairs and threw molotovs for the next few minutes straight. I went around looting the downstairs for a while to wait it out and he just lobbed them at the same spot the whole time. I finally just had to eat the damage to make it stop. I've run into this with others mutants nowhere near Corvega but at least they were mostly outdoors where I could move. MisterBibs posted:VANS is basically like Clairvoyance in Skyrim, right? Any cowboy out there. Hit me up. Looking for cowboy daddy to tell me what good stats are and help me with my long revolver. Not gay just like hanging out with Cowboys and touching big guns. Let me know if you see any good cowboy hats or know what the good cowboy perks are. Like I think gunslinger and rifleman are good cowboy perks because guns and rifles are important to real Cowboys. Not satisfied with the trifold cowboy hat, I need one with. A wide brim. Again I'm not gay I just want cowboy friends to hang out with and jerk off mutually, not gay though.
