I'm going to use it to capture non-HD video from my PC on a DVD recorder (things too important for my lovely screen capture program to screw up), but it will also be useful for hooking my laptop and tablet into any old thing that lacks HDMI. I have a similiar looking thing without the logo and the piece of poo poo does nothing.

Well according to the reviews of people who got the odd functional specimen, it works (when it works) with PS4 so it should work with a PSTV

I don't know if they're similar in any way but mine's actually pretty decent for the ~$25 I paid for it. Very flexible cable though, makes it almost impossible to push down a pipe with any bend. I need to get some proper stiff pipe fishing... thing
