I get people wanting someone over six foot if you are 5'7", but people that are 5'0" and want a giant are odd to me. I am 5'8" and my gf is 5'2"; just a six inch difference makes things weird. A whole foot would be crazy

When your supposed dating pool is limited to "same height or taller" being 5 foot nothing you lose only a small fraction of the dating pool, instead of more than half. I was also friends with a guy that was 6'11" in college and he dated a girl that wasn't even 5 feet tall, and I'm not going to lie it looked weird as gently caress and I judged them a little bit.
