To my considerable shock, PWE did in fact give me a refund on the (incorrect) Spire console I bought after I gave them a screenshot of me discarding it.

I'm surprised they did it and took less than 3 weeks to run the refund through proper channels.

CrushedWill posted:I'm surprised they did it and took less than 3 weeks to run the refund through proper channels. There was a little over a week of slowly asking for bits of information like what the name of the module was, even though I linked it in the original ticket summary or how much I paid for it and in what currencies that could have all been in a single reply. But otherwise it was pretty painless!

Them even reading it and properly responding is a loving miracle, every time I wrote a ticket for something all I got was the canned response for something that had literally nothing to do with the problem.

Broke down and bought the Feddie pilot triple-pack. Which ones should I grind up traits for and which one should I actually run. (And consoles, I guess?) EDIT: Just took an actual look at them. It's science and science, isn't it. Although gently caress it, I'm going all three consoles, I don't care that they're probably a waste of space. Grind up all the traits even if subwarp sheath is the most obviously useful one. The trait that gives you a free microtorp every few seconds is... ok, I guess, if you're going for a full blown torp escort build. I forget completely what the third trait is but grind it out anyway, you never know when it might be useful. The pilot ship you "keep" to actually fly is the Icarus because it has a LCDR science slot. You can swap out a lot of parts so enjoy kitbashing your flying cheese wedge. Personally I like how the engineering one appears because of what looks like exposed pipes where the front is seemingly chopped off. You might prefer a spaceship that looks more traditional though.

Speaking of which, why do all the Engineering ships in three-packs always look the least structurally sound. The KDF Engy Command Cruiser in particular looks like a repair nightmare, it has narrow little struts from the primary to secondary hull

Does "power siphon" mean "energy siphon"? Because if so there might be some use to that trait.

There's really no reason there shouldn't be [Arc] torpedoes for every type. I half suspect the only reason they didn't throw them into projectile crafting is because they didn't want to hurt sales of the Regent's quantum torp, but even then they could have just done a wide-angle photon or something instead.

By the way, the reason the breen dread's trait doesn't work on tyken's rift is because tyken's rift is a pet and it was to figure out how to get it to give your ship a buff for things it did.
