That's mostly because there would have been essentially zero backlash against anyone innocent if it was white right wing guys, to be fair.

The stupid-as-gently caress part about it is that everyone was saying the suspects were white because they appear to pass as white. But then once the name comes out, that all falls apart and now the right is crowing about the shooter being "Muslim, not white". Just goes to show how constructed the concept of race really is.

People are already calling for a refugee ban.

I am sure that will escalate to a "deport all muslimes/middle east/Levant people" soon. i can see trump and cruz pushing for poo poo like that.

Why doesn't Obama issue an executive order creating a "no gun list" for terrorists?

It would appear this shooting is Obama's fault for failing to prevent guns from falling into the hands of potential terrorists.

Make them. Maybe if Obama had some balls and was willing to shoot from the hit rather than overthink everything, then there wouldn't be terrorists committing so many mass shootings in America.

If it was a terrorist action, why did he choose to attack his own office party full of San Bernardino County bureaucrats? They could have gotten in the car and been at any of a dozen LA-area tourist spots in under two hours. Disneyland, for example. Had they done this last Friday at almost any mall, they would have killed scores more people and put the whole USA in a panic for a month. Conversely, if it was just a workplace thing, how did he get accomplices to join in?

I doubt this will make any more sense tomorrow, but I'm hoping for at least a minimally coherent narrative.

If this in fact doesn't have anything to do with his religion, a clear narrative is the last thing we're gonna have. What we're going to have is a brutal debate over whether Islam is inherently violent and are all Muslims dangerous.

The accomplices are easily the most confusing part about this. Maybe there's some personal vendetta which includes family? The fact that they were so well-armed is strange too, or maybe not since this is America.
