I like how you can get quests that are impossible to do. Like okay, I picked up a quest where I got to get a guy's comm device, but I'm level 10, and the item is guarded by two level 33s who are facing the item sleeping, and immediately see me (meaning I can't pick up the item). I'm waiting for morning in game and hope they despawn or move so I can snatch it because lol.

i was going to wait to get this, maybe until i picked up an external harddrive, or at least finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3D but I'm really tempted now... how well does the game run on disc without downloading any of the data stuff?

Other then being an hour late to launch digitally, Xenoblade X is pretty great! Your character wakes up and right away you are given a weapon and are destroying the wildlife.

I haven't played the game yet to see for myself, but this video shows off the load times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7lBVaLb0nw and they seem rather long without the data packs. But apparently from what I've read in the comments of that video the game only really loads when you start playing and whenever you fast travel. Beyond that I don't know how the data packs affect performance.

cant wait to play dis but I know it won't be til tomorrow since those data packs will likely take all night to finish. I think I have like 17 GB free on the wiiu so ima just use that for the packs, 9 gigs for this game is a price I'll pay

I watched the quick look on giant bomb and really want to play this game but I can't afford a wii u and it is simply the only game worth playing that I've seen on the wii u, but drat does it look good. Any chance of a bundle in the future for this? I see europe is getting one does north america have one planned?

Something for people to note: There are some things (like secondary cooldowns or "what the hell are these icons on the segment map?") that the game doesn't explain at all, so of you feel like you're missing something, make sure to read the manual.

Wtf... each of the base preset characters have only a small selection of hair styles. I want to be able to make a guy from scratch with all the options, not sift through presets to see what I like....

Loading difference only seems to be a difference of 10 seconds.

Well your name is used for online functions, so it makes sense they wouldn't allow you to change it. Very few games let you change your name after creating your character, in my experience, dunno why you'd expect that to be a thing.
