My run at the 3rd league event at monaco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gtk0el7FjI Far from perfect. Was half drunk, but I think the caution and throttle control helped me a lot also don't have any upgrades for that car yet since I chose the S4 in career. I drove off in that corner as well :s The very last corner on that course is troublesome for me too. Fell off there as well.

Forgot to mention that I crashed out at the last stage on the dirty goons league . That goddamn bridge where you make the left within the first 500m of the stage. Was feeling good but went in too hot and under steered and clipped the outside wall which was enough to pitch the car over the edge. I was devastated, threw my gloves down and walked away. EDIT: Gonna add on to this, anyone know what this overlay is on this guy's game? It shows throttle/brake inputs, which I love in iRacing to tell if my inputs are working properly since I got old Clubsport V1s. Sometimes I have to tighten screws from time to time to make sure the inputs are 100%. EDIT, THE SEQUEL. FOUND IT! http://billiam.itch.io/wheeler It's an overlay, did a quick test and seems to work well. Ringo Star Get fucked around with this message at 20:43 on Dec 5, 2015 |

A shame they never will probably get around to a system to tamper with the pace notes so I could put double cautions on that turn and every other that's liable to just totally gently caress you if you aren't careful. Only when baptized in the madness of Stratos will you know true joy. Also, I swear to god there's been something plain wrong with the daily setups lately. First it was the gear ratios on the 405, now the Sierra feels more like bathtub than ever before. And I've put a couple of hours into that car, I feel that it should drive better. I beat the delta at least, but what a horrible run that was. njsykora posted:I think it came to he's just a random dude who joins loads of public leagues. I'm all for kicking him out. Thanks to dailies and custom event testing before buying an 80's, I decided the Sierra was one of the few cars I'm pretty sure I never want to buy (in limited company with the Group A Escort, Group B Audi, and Mini Countryman [more out of spite for it being ugly than bad]). You'll like it. The finer control you have over the various controls with a wheel is very nice. The Stratos was a pain in the rear end to control with an Xbone pad but it actually feels drat nice with a wheel.

*rings the update bell* The one update they released while I was at work would of course be 1.0 wouldn't it. Anyway I cant do a full changelog because phone posting but here's the highlights. - Sweden! Including new snowtech so you can use the snowbanks when cornering. - The VW Polo and Hyundai Rally cars in the 2010s class. - Steam Workshop support for sharing setups. - If a wager event ends while you're driving you'll be refunded the credits wagered. - Custom championships now payout properly. - You can now change on screen displays so you can now turn off the start of stage countdown. - Lights now activate with a single button press instead of needing the button held for a few seconds. Wipers unchanged. - Your co-driver will tell you when wheels have been ripped off the car, and when you're going the wrong way. - Multi-location rallies will now load the proper default setup for each country. - Mouse users can now change car liveries with the mouse. - Usual raft of bug fixes. Notable for its absence is the v2 physics for the Hillclimb and F2 cars and the FFB update. Haven't heard anything mentioned about those though they were supposed to be in this update. Also a console release is confirmed, though it wont be until Spring 2016. njsykora fucked around with this message at 19:10 on Dec 7, 2015 |

You forgot the most important part: the engine no longer automatically revs at the start. Only had a short time try out the new stuff before work. Sweden stages are pretty narrow but the soft snow banks are a godsend for that. The i20 is surprisingly good.

Apparently the remaining v2 physics and FFB changes are in the update, but aren't on the changelog. There's some confusion in the CM forums about that. Also you can now set car upgrades for league events, so next league season you wont have to worry about upgrading the car you want to use to be competitive.

So this happened: http://i.imgur.com/hwbmXrV.gifv I also "found" a tiny snow bank on the outside edge of some corner that acted like invisible wall if I slided into it. I'll make a gif of it if I can find it again.

SinineSiil posted:So this happened: http://i.imgur.com/hwbmXrV.gifv maybe there is a guard rail in there. or a fuckin big rock. just cuz it is hidden by snow doesn't mean it isn't solid. but yeah the physics behind the collision were definitely wonky. Running into something soft just because it is soft doesn't mean you are gonna be greeted by something soft inside of it. The problem is that anything inside of the bank won't be revealed because the snow doesn't move (unless it does, haven't played it yet.) I jumped into what I thought was some deep snow knee first once and fuckin' smashed my knee into a rock. was pretty painful.

A few things from the in-game notice that weren't in the forum post. - You can set your transmission type to automatically switch from h-pattern to sequential to match the car you're driving. - You can race your personal bests in custom event. Also the game has a nice big shiny banner on the front page of Steam right now.

Sweden is a blast and looks gorgeous. The roads are hella narrow and if you hit the snow bank (and there aren't rocks under it) the snow poof up around you and your car kinda plows through it. The three stages I've done so far didn't have many corners tighter than 3, but there're probably some rear end in a top hat stages with tight, snowy hairpins all over the place. Stratos for life.
