Most of the time the ships dont render for me at 5km out, so I have to go 'prospecting' for targets by shooting a burst at each spawn point and then listing for the hit pings. I think they only show up on your targetting hud once someone gets in and it powers up. A 2 man crew with one person calling targets would be pretty awesome. Is the wiki best ships list up to date? I kinda want to get 6000 zen before the sale ends, people are suggesting there's going to be a ship sale soon. No, it was written in the pre-T6 era. That's not to say the ships on there are bad now, far from it, it just doesn't take into account more recent releases.

The Recluse is still probably the best ship there is. In short, grab an Astika, the Intel escort and Presidio for the trait and you're good.

If you're looking for ship traits then All Hands on Deck (from Tactical Command Battlecruisers) and Emergency Weapon Cycle (from Battle Cruiser/Heavy Warbird/Battlecruiser Bundle) are cross faction ships you should be looking for. Reciprocity (from Phantom Intel Escort) is a good one for feds and you can get it from the exchange for KDF and Romulans. There should be a short list with recommendations on the wiki. If you're looking for something new to fly, then the t-5 romulan dreadnoughts remain good damage dealers (scimitar or the tulwar with damage boosting sci consoles), and the pilot ships offer a little different experience if you're ok with being a bit fragile.

It means it has seating to sue skills from the pilot specialization. There are Command and Intel ships also but Command is pretty poo poo, Intel has some good skills and Pilot is somewhere in the middle from what I hear, haven't really tested it myself.

They are pretty awesome imo, I fly the Klingon Tac one on my main. Basically they are an escort that let's you reposition your firing arc every few seconds, which is exactly what escorts needed.

Rep or fleet, all the way, something you can get a set of with the attributes you want on it. Unless you have a fuckton of money then it's crafting but if you did you wouldn't be asking. As long as it's all the same damage type and has good mods (CrtD, DMG or Pen) on it it doesn't matter all that much. I say that as I'm about to pour a bunch of dilithium and upgrades into eight spiral wave disruptors.
