I really don't know whether I want them fully show Dennis killing/raping/torturing/whatever someone. He's my favorite character by far, but I'm torn. On one hand I trust them to do it right, but on the other I feel it would be so easy to mess it up.

I get the impression that Dennis has never actually gone through with killing anyone, he just likes to imagine himself in that role and prepare for it. Its the ultimate power fantasy. Its pretty clear that he actually is a full on rapist, though.

They're just ramping up the intensity of his craziness bit by bit, but they need a payoff for it. Not saying they should just have him be an actual murderer, but they need to work something out.

All that ego and self-importance inflating to burst into Hopeless Dennis would make me laugh so hard. I picture it like the opening to "The Gang Broke Dee" but instead of brushing them off, Dennis silently absorbs the gang's mockery, until they fall silent, creeped out.

Is it really surprising that an area of the country first colonized mainly by British people now has accents that sound vaguely Commonwealthy?

Dennis' accent was weirdly overdone and didn't sound very Australian either. Philly accent tends to make some vowels really nasal, soften consonants in the middle of some words and leans hard on Rs that end words. It's how you get things like "wooder" and the "wall wimmin bridge."

I can picture a reveal at some point that all the talk from Dennis about rope and the like is because he sees himself as some Batmanesque defender of Philadelphia.

Does anyone else think the Charlie plots have gotten really loving mean in the past couple seasons, even by this show's standards? It's gotten a little uncomfortable to watch, honestly, because in the early seasons you could at least buy Charlie being friends with everybody, but by now, he's pretty much just their slave/plaything.

I think you're taking the show a little too seriously if it makes you uncomfortable. I mean, that has been "the joke" of his character for a long time - the illiterate idiot that does all their dirty work and goes unappreciated when he actually does something well. Although they did make him a denim chicken once. That shows at least some level of caring.

Let's not forget that Charlie has been stalking a woman for at least 11 years, probably since he was in high school, has lied to all of his friends about getting cancer, tricked a girl into falling in love with him so he could use it as leverage to improve his relationship with the Waitress, was perfectly willing to abandon Frank because he thought he was getting smarter, threatened his landlord with a gun, kidnapped a man who gave his bar a bad review, assaulted a mall Santa, and used his talent for playing a MMO to make Dee subservient to him. I'm not saying he deserves the treatment he gets from the gang and especially Dennis, but Charlie is no saint. Anytime that he's gotten even a little bit of power, he abuses the poo poo out of it.

I've been rewatching Season 10 and I forgot about the part in Charlie Work where Charlie goes into the basement with the health inspector and she hits the CO2 detector twice. Charlie's reaction to being impressed with Frank hitting the note twice is hilarious once you know what's going on
