Okay, it was me. The vikings had leather nipple tassels that came with bonus clamps and I really wanted them so I used all the King Arthur dollars in the guild bank.

They've added the framework to more easily replace all of the current animations, and are working hard to have the new animations done I think by the time Beta 1 rolls by. Lighting is in the process of being reworked and modernized, and there will be more news in a week in terms of Beta 1.

I'm sad that they kind of lost the hype/momentum they had gained during the weekly class reveals. Since then it has been some really silent couple of months. I logged in to the alpha test a couple of times, but it is still very much a work in progress. This will definitely not get a 2016 full release, unless they are really holding stuff back.

Info about beta 1 from the recent live stream (http://youtu.be/6Fj_17ShduE) Only somewhat organized notes, deal with it - 12 hour days for next 3 weeks, possibly longer to meet beta timeline - Will begin livestreaming from studio again - Backers will be able to send beta invites to friends soon, gift system undergoing final tests this week - Will be trying to complete everything on the beta 1 checklist, will be adding to the list - 3 classes per realm for beta 1, additional classes will be released for testing as they are ready rather than waiting to introduce new content in stages - Crafting system will be very basic in beta 1, processing and item creation will be sped up to test the system - Beta 1 servers will not be up 24/7, as it would be to expensive and cause tester burn-out - NDA will be removed at some point during beta 1, but not immediately - Beta 1 will be extremely different from alpha, but still very raw, world will change often as they test different things - Expecting "1 month's worth of progression" for beta 1 content, may be adjusted based on testing needs, will use the "nightly report" system, pacing will obviously be sped up to account for wipes and allow for testing - Only a few servers up for the beta launch, will have more available, but are not expecting overwhelming numbers of backers to show up - There will be siege warfare in beta 1 - Not much character customization for beta 1, wipes will be frequent - Will not be introducing any new races until the existing ones are in the game - Will be able to group in beta 1 - Focus is on making the game basics fun, not on rushing for more content introduction. Early emphasis will be on PVP mechanics and building construction/destruction. Stressing that making the combat enjoyable for all classes is imperative. - The concept of Friday night fights may continue and may be expanded in beta. - Weather system will still be tested spontaneously - Building plot capture system will be in beta 1 - Projectiles and building destruction is server side, still pushing their engine on this front - Have not optimized the engine for specific GPU brands (AMD, NVIDIA) yet - Body part damage and healing system will be in beta 1 - Only 25 crafting materials modeled/useable for gathering/refining/crafting currently, will be more - Will be additional biomes in beta 1 - Still looking for more programmers good with c# and c++, have the money, but having trouble finding people good with code, are openly recruiting, contact them if you have the requisite skill set , details on their website
