The probes do, in fact, list the sightseeing bonus per site found in their descriptions.

As for Mortifoles, you can target/lock the head near the apex of your jump if you're on foot. In a skell you probably just need to hover a little.

Do they give a reason for every creature speaking the same language as the humans?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but in the intro doesn't it say that the humans named the planet Mira? Because I am pretty sure I heard Tatsu or somebody referred to it as Mira, which doesn't make sense!

Basically, just set up your FrontierNav probes to give you over 3000 on one return and wait. Don't go idle, the game detects for that. On the touch screen, if you tap the upper right icon until it shows you Credits and Miranium (or something like that) in the lower right corner, you can see your frontierNav set up. You need to plant enough research probes to reach 3k on a FrontierNav tick.

Yes, it is actually a plot point that everyone is speaking the same language.

I think you get FrontierNav income every half hour of active playing. Just do other quests while you wait.

I think it's worth building an Ares 90, just so you can go around and get revenge on things that killed you before. It also sort of frees you up to go around and look at stuff you may have avoided earlier because of enemy levels. Stuff like grinding out augments so you can kill those level 90 tyrants looks awful though.

No. The characters acknowledge that it's happening but it's never expanded on.

If you like the ground combat, explore the caves in Cauldros. There's a lot of them, and they don't let mechs inside so basically everything there is specced for ground combat.

If Global Nemesis missions count as postgame, then I've had a ton of fun actually working with other people in multiplayer.

For some of the world tyrants.... eh, it varies. Some will have insane gimmicks like 4000 damage Spikes that basically demand you make Antispike gear/augs to beat them, or other annoying artificial difficulty poo poo like that. Some are flying only, so you'll need to outfit a particularly strong skell, sometimes also with gimmick gear (using [Enemy Type] Slayer XX augs is technically the strongest thing you can give a skell for that, i'm pretty sure, provided that you know the type of the tyrant you want to kill). Some are just fun fights that can be done on ground or skell, though.

Try stuff out and do it until you quit enjoying it, I guess?

So, that infinite Overdrive sure is a hell of a thing! I used it to beat up the Rexoskell in the Time Trial missions. It was a bit... messy, but I sure had a much easier time of it than I did when I first had to fight that loving thing! Managed to get all the Rexoskell bits I need to build the lv 60 Amdusias frame, so yay!

So I've been combing through the manual and playing for ten hours, and I feel like I'm still barely diving into the mechanics; I'm paying attention to the soul voices and upgrading party gear and abilities as they level up, and trying as hard as I can to build an arts palette that synergizes really well, but it still feels like I'm doing 90% of the work, and just relying on my party for a damage boost; is there anything else I should be doing to get as much out of them as possible?

Every time I come back from the wild I check gathering quests. You wind up with a good pile of tank tops and pants from those. The more interesting cosmetic stuff has only recently been flowing in (just finished chapter...7?) from chests or normal missions or God knows where.

Prepare for misery porn and getting people killed by accident. Some of the sidequests get dark.

Oh, if anyone else is stuck trying to work out how to unlock On'Tonam's quest beside the Church, turns out you need to get Noctilum's survey rate over 85%.

Finally got "Off the Record". But for Archeology. In fact I got it the moment I hit level 4 with Archeology, it's like the game is taunting me. It's just a shame you have to kill a level 60 tyrant to actually complete it, the thing flattens me right now.And are we sure FrontierNav is every half an hour? I had a similar experience. She oneshotted my team twice then the third time we easily breezed through her. Maybe her power that does loads of damage is interruptable and it happened to be interrupted?

Also, Neddy Seagoon - are there other quests tied into the amount of survey you have for paticular zones? I know there are quests like Haywire that require quite long chains to be completed before you can get them. And then are tied into affinity quests as well!

The only other ones are Mia's quests, as far as I can recall. I think her Oblivia quest is something like 50%, and Cauldros is 65%. I can't remember if the others are tied to survey rate.

I actually don't think I have Mia. I remember doing her first quest but I don't think I've seen her on the tree she's meant to be on. I guess it doesn't matter if I don't recruit her.
Honestly one of the biggest failings of this game is how utterly boring the other characters are. Why not have Ga Jiarg and etc as recruitable characters to mix it up a bit? Why is L from a race that doesn't actually exist outside of him? It's just bizzare.

I still don't have Haywire. The guide has a list of what quests are prerequisites for it, but I'm not sure which of them I'm done. Does the game have a way to check what quests you've done? If not, I'm stuck just picking quests at random hoping one of them sets a flag for a quest I need for Haywire.

You have to do all the Biaho water treatment plant quests. This ends with an Orphean setting up robots at the plant. Then Rosie, at the plant, will give you Haywire. If you visit the plant you can sorta see how far along you are - if everyone is there you've got at least two quests left to do to get to it. If it's basically empty you've just got to do the robots, so if you look it should give you an idea about where you're at in the questlines.
Haywire then ends in the Murderess affinity quest. Which is kinda bollocks really - to end a storyline in an affinity quest.

In related news - why does Mia require SO MANY quests to get? It just seems like she's an end game character even though she's just another normal human.

Anyone got any tips for finding a Resonating Madonator? It's from Noctilum and I have one but I need another for a quest. The places gamefaqs recommends aren't giving me any luck. I also finished the Noctilum colletopedia. All I got was battle points, I wouldn't say it was worth the bother unless completing ALL of them gives you something better.

And it's cool because you can't back up your saves because nintendo thinks that might mean you're cheating by hacking the saves! (even though they're obfuscated) No online cloud upload either!

It's like we're back in PS2 days where certain devs didn't let you copy your game saves because reasons, except it's the standard for nintendo as a whole.
